May Beauty Favourites

What a quick month May was - it flew by! This month I have a very random selection of beauty favourites and only two of them are actually makeup products and usually, almost all of my monthly favourites are makeup! Three of these are new products I have been testing and I am seriously enjoying them.
May Beauty Favourites
I have mentioned the Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops a couple of times now but I just can't get enough of this products at the moment! I have never faked tanned my face until I started using these and I wish I had done it sooner as I love how it looks. These drops give the skin such a natural tan and I love how easy they are to use, you mix them in with your moisturiser. I have acne prone skin that has left me with quite a lot of discolouration and these drops almost hide them and give me the confidence to go makeup free.

The Kat Von D Metal Crush Highlighting Palette is a palette that I am seriously obsessed with. I have used this every single day in May and I've been using it so much since I picked it up at the end of last year that I have already hit pan on one of the shades. This is a very intense highlighting palette which gives a wet look on the cheekbones with some glitter too. Even though these are really intense on the skin they don't draw too much attention to any texture issues or the pores which I like. I did a full review of this a while ago if you want to see swatches and find out more info on it - review here.

My only other makeup favourite this month is the Tarte The Buffer Brush. I have used a sponge to apply my foundation for the longest time but this is so much better for what I am looking for at the moment. This lets me achieve full coverage with my favourite foundations and it almost leaves the skin looking airbrushed yet lightweight. It works brilliantly with the Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation too. I'm always in a hurry in the morning to get ready and this applies my foundation so quickly and blends it too so I never have to worry about it looking patchy or streaky. It never leaves brush marks either.

I love pillow sprays and I have a few that I have been rotating between but the brand new Feather & Down Breathe Well Pillow Spray has become a firm favourite. This has peppermint and eucalyptus in it as well as lavender and chamomile which makes you fall asleep so much quicker and I always find that I get a much more restful nights sleep when I use a pillow spray. The reason why I love this one so much is because of the cool element of the scent notes combined, it really does help you breathe better too.

My final favourite this month is The Body Shop Mint Mattifying Face Mist. I have three of the new face mists from the company and I have found myself using this one so much. I will have a full review up on these in the next couple of days but this is a must-have if you have oily skin. My foundation always ends up being a little oily after a couple hours of wear and this mattifies the skin incredibly well without drying it out. I love the mint scent and I don't find it to irritate my skin in the slightest and I also love the cooling effect it has on the skin.

What were your favourites this month?
