I have had this product sitting in my drawer, sealed for months. I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try it out but I have become obsessed with this product. Before I started using it I had honestly heard nothing about it and I can't believe I haven't heard anyone talk about this as it is such a great product!
The Mario Badescu Silver Powder is ideal for oily, congested skin and if you have issues with blackheads, whiteheads or just spots in general then you need to give this product a try. I have acne prone skin and even though it is somewhat under control now, my skin still isn't as clear as I would like it to be but this product has been making such a difference! It's recommended for best results that you exfoliate the skin prior to using the product but as I like to use chemical exfoliators I personally skip this step.
It only has three ingredients (Calcium Carbonate, Kaolin and Zinc Oxide) and they are going to work together to decongest the skin while clarifying your complexion. The natural minerals are going to purify the pores and help reduce stubborn blackheads. It also works fantastically for excess oil, buildup, pore-clogging and to help get your skin looking visibly clearer and healthier. As it is a powder-based product, I was a little scared to use it at first but it's actually really quick and easy to apply! All you have to do is dip a water-damped cotton pad into the powder that will turn the product into a paste texture for you to apply it to the skin. I focus on the T-Zone, paying extra attention to the nose and chin as these are where my skin is at its worst. You leave it on for ten minutes before wiping away.
I have got to say, from the first time I used this I was so impressed! I have a lot of whiteheads and blackheads on my chin and nose (disgusting, I know) and I had never been able to get rid of them until I started using this! It has been completely decongested my skin and has unclogged my pores like never before. My skin has been looking much clearer since I started using this and for the first time ever, I don't have whiteheads on my chin. After I have removed the product, my skin always feels incredibly smooth and it doesn't dehydrate my skin in the slightest. And has it has completely cleared up the whiteheads and improved the general state of my skin, my foundation has been applying so much smoother. The only issue I have with it is that as it dries, it does slightly turn back into the powder based form so it can flake off slightly if you are walking around the house. You can use this once or twice a week, I have been using it twice a week for about a month now and I have never been so impressed.
