How to Treat Eczema

Ever since I was little, I have had a few experiences with eczema and once you've found the products that work for you and your skin, it's like hitting the jackpot. So I thought today I would share a few different products and solutions that can help if you do suffer with it.

Finding out what triggers your eczema is so important and I can't stress this enough. I know for me that certain washing detergents and skin care products will trigger mine so I stay clear of them. Even some foods can trigger it so you need to keep everything in mind when trying to figure out what is causing it. I try to introduce new products slowly and one at a time if I can so I can make sure that they don't trigger any skin irritations or issues for my skin. If you are struggling with eczema, try not to itch it too much as you can stress the area even more.

The Independent Pharmacy has a great range of products that could help and one in particular if the Betnovate Cream/Ointment. This product, in particular, is used to treat inflammatory skin disorders just like eczema. It's easy to apply and is absorbed quickly into the skin in the affected area. It's used to help control outbreaks of skin redness and inflammation rather than as a long-term preventative measure. It's available in a few different sizes as well.

The main treatments are moisturisers and creams and ointments that will help to reduce swelling and redness during flare-ups. There are many other treatments that can be used including antihistamines for the severe itching as well as using bandages and special body suits to allow the skin to heal underneath. If you are unable to get it under control on your own, definitely go and see a doctor.
