I love Autumn/Winter, especially when it comes to clothing and footwear. I love the cosy clothing that cooler weather brings and these three pairs of footwear are going to be worn so much in the next couple of months.
The first pair I picked out is the Black Blow Loafers (£30). These are available in green as well if you don't fancy the black. These are the perfect smarter shoe that I had been looking for! I'm quite tall and I don't like wearing heels often so I know that these are going to be the shoes that I wear the most during the holiday season. They're made of a faux suede on the upper part of the show and they have stunning gold-tone hardware and trim throughout the shoe. They have a perfectly sized heel for me and the bow on these is stunning, the bow really makes this shoe - it's so eye-catching.
I love slip on plimsoll shoes as I'm often wearing jeans and a sweatshirt during the cooler months and the Black Faux Fur Lined Slip Ons (£26) are perfect! These also have a faux suede upper to the shoe with rose gold piping. I love the white contrast around the bottom of the shoe against the black and the faux fur lining is what drew me to these! They're so comfortable that I might just have to pick up the other colours soon as I know I'm going to get so much wear out of these.
The final item I picked out was the Black Padlock Ankle Boots (£40). These are the perfect Autumn boot if you ask me, they will go with so many outfits and they are fantastic quality! These hit the perfect ankle point and I can see myself wearing these with black skinny jeans or with a nice skirt and tights. These have a small heel and are faux suede on the upper section of the shoe, just like the previous two styles. The small padlock charm on these is the perfect accent and goes brilliantly with the detailing above the heel.
River Island has been one of my favourite places to shop on the high street for years so I can say with confidence that these are worth the investment. I have had boots from the store from years ago and they are still in fantastic quality. My friend at work said she has a pair of River Island boots from about ten years ago that are still going strong! On a side note, if you are on the hunt for jeans, the River Island Molly jeans are hands down the best ones I have ever come across. I've lost count of how many pairs I own.
