April 2015 Beauty Favourites

This month I don't have as many favourites as I normally do and I think it is because I have pretty much used the same products as last month for the first half of the month. For the second half of the month, I have rediscovered old loves from last spring time that I used and a new product which I have become obsessed with so quickly!

Everyday Face #7

Its been a while since I did one of these posts so I thought it was time for an update! I have found a few products sitting at the back of my draws which I had totally forgotten about but I have now fallen back in love with them. Some of the products I have been using this week are actually new ones and I have fallen in love with them so quickly and I can't believe it had taken me so long to try them as they had been on my wishlist for the longest time, I am kicking myself that I didn't try them sooner!

REVIEW: Yankee Candle Mango Peach Salsa Tart

With the sun being out, I wanted some fruity summer scents for my room so I decided to use the Yankee Candle Mango Peach Salsa Tart. Fruit family scents are pretty much my favourite scent type all year round apart from Christmas when I go for more foodie scents. Mango Peach Salsa is a fruity lovers dream especially if you love mangoes like I do.

There is a couple of new releases that I can't wait to get my hands on too so I am sure they will be purchased within a week or so!

REVIEW: Yankee Candle Margarita Time Tart

Over Christmas, Yankee Candle had a good sale with many wax tarts priced at 75p so I placed an order and decided to finally use my Margarita Tart. With the weather being lovely and sunny at the moment I thought it was the perfect time to use some of my fruit family scents and this one was at the top of my list.

Cosme-De Beauty Haul

I have mentioned this many times, but Cosme-De is one of my favourite websites when it comes to beauty products. It is like a beauty bloggers dream with so many different beauty brands with many of the products being cheaper than what they are on the UK high street. Cosme-De are celebrating their 7th anniversary this month and they have some really fun promotion happening. If you spend over $169 you get a free teddy bear which I will talk more about in a second as well as many other things, you can find out more information here.

Chanel Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid

On my birthday I decided to have a little splurge as I had a Boots giftcard and I decided to try the Chanel Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Foundation (worlds longest name), as I had been needing a new foundation with a higher coverage and longer wear so this one seemed perfect. After being colour matched by the lovely lady on the Chanel counter, I found that 12 Beige Rosé which is the lightest shade in this foundation is my perfect match.

What's In My Makeup Bag? // Orla Kiely Review

Finding a make up bag that fits all of my make up in has always been a struggle. They are always too big or too small for all of the items I want to carry but since I have had this Orla Kiely Wash Bag* in my life I have been using it non stop and it is the perfect size for my handbag too! This print is gorgeous for the sunnier weather too.

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipsticks

I'm not the biggest fan of lipstick, I would pick a liquid lipstick or a gloss over lipstick most days but when I saw these L'Oreal Color Riche Lipsticks were on sale on the Superdrug website a few weeks ago (£3 each and on 3 for 2), I thought it would be a great time to retry lipsticks a try! It took me forever to decide what shades I wanted but I am so happy with the choices that I made!

No matter how many beauty products I seem to get, my wishlist just gets longer and longer!  This month there has been some really exciting beauty releases and I just can't wait to get my hands on them! The weather has been so nice recently and it makes me want to get all bronzed and have bright nails, any one else?!

Now that the weather is a lot warmer, I want to keep my skin free as much as possible. There is nothing worse than having a full face of heavy foundation on a hot day! So when I heard about the ESPA Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser* I was very excited to give it a try! I have tried tinted moisturisers in the past and never found one as good as this!

REVIEW: Yankee Candle Simply Home Stony Cove Tart

I am a Yankee Candle snob, I admit it! When it comes to anything candle related, the one brand I always trust is Yankee Candle and I haven't found a candle brand that makes better smelling candles so I always go back to Yankee Candle. When I spotted this Simply Home Stony Cove in ASDA I knew it had to be mine, it smells so good!

Until recently, I never really planned out my blog photos or anything to do with my blog but since I had started it has made a massive difference and has made blogging easier! It is so gorgeous and actually makes me want to fill it up with all blog related things.

Everyday Face #6

This past week I have been using a lot of different products, mainly because I had a big beauty clear out and reorganise and found some products I used to love but had completely forgotten about as they ended up at the back of different draws. I am so happy to have found them and I have been loving using them this week!

Buckley London Zara Ring

Buckley London is a company I have always heard great things about. They create so many beautiful pieces of jewellery and also jewelled Poppys, which have been worn on The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, a percentage is donated The Royal British Legion. I have always been a big lover of rings, I used to wear one on almost every finger, similar to Phoebe on Friends, but these days I have been keeping it pretty simple by wearing just this beautiful Zara Ring*.

Smokey Eye Look with Yves Rocher

No evening out or event is complete without a smokey eye. Yves Rocher is a brand that I am pretty new to and I can't believe it has taken me to long to try some products. I have been playing around with these four beautiful products to create the perfect smokey eye in only a few minutes. I am not that great with applying eye shadow but I think I did a pretty good job and will do this look many more times I'm sure.
Smokey Eye Look with Yves Rocher
The 01 Grey Eyeshadow Quad* is stunning. It has four beautiful eyeshadows, my favourite shade in the palette is the highlight, it is so pretty when applied to the brow bone and to the inner corner. All of the eyeshadows are very well pigmented and blend together so well. The shadows are buttery soft too which makes me want to get other colour combinations of this palette! This beautiful quad retails for £25 and has some of the best packaging I have ever seen! The Fixing Eyelid Primer* is incredible stuff, it applies with a slightly concealer like colour which when it is blended out does leave any colour. It leaves my eyelids neutralised from any discolouration and smoothes out my lids making them ready for eyeshadow, this primer retails for £12.50. The Creamy Kohl* is a product that I have never tried anything like before and I have fallen slightly in love with it. It is so intensely pigmented yet so creamy at the same time and applies like a dream! This eyeliner kohl retails for £15.90. The final product I have to create this look is the Volume Vertige Mascara*. I really like this mascara because of its wand. It is plastic but shaped like no other mascara I have tried and makes my lashes look so natural while adding some volume. This mascara retails for £22

Beauty Wishlist #23

I haven't purchased too many beauty products recently because I hadn't seen anything that had caught my eye but I have found some new products that I need in my life! I have just recently got into fake tan and I feel like I am never complete without fake tan on now which I am loving but I feel like now I need to try all of the tan and see what is the best!

Dr Renaud Apricot BB Eyes

I have always struggled with concealing my under eye area. I have always had really bad dark circles, not matter how much sleep I get! So when I heard about Dr Renaud Apricot BB Eyes* I knew I had to give it a try and see if it could help camouflage my under eye area. Dr Renaud Apricot BB Eyes is a 7 in 1 product which claims to hydrate, camouflage dark circles and even skin tone, among other things.

YSL Volutpé Tint-In-Oil

YSL is a brand that I have always wanted to try, pretty much because of the beautiful packaging, but I never knew what I wanted to try first. For my birthday my lovely friend Chloe got me the YSL Volutpé Tint-In-Oil in I Rose You. I have been reading lots about lip oils recently and I wasn't too sure what to think about them as I thought they were just going to leave my lips feeling greasy and oily but I couldn't have been more wrong.

Sienna X Cream to Powder Bronzer and Illuminator

With the warmer weather slowly approaching, I want to look a little more tanned and bronzed and what better way to do so than with cream products. Sienna X is a brand I have always heard great things about, in particular about their self tanning products, so when they got in touch about their Cream to Powder Bronzer and Illuminator* I was very excited to try it!

Roger and Gallet Fleur de Figuier Fresh Fragrance Water

With it being officially Spring, I was on the hunt for a new fragrance. Roger and Gallet has become one of my favourite brands over the last couple of months and I have tried and loved a couple products from the Fleur de Figuier line so when I heard about the Fresh Fragrant Water* I knew I had to try it. Its official, I have fallen in love with this fragrance!

Everyday Face #5

Recently I have been going for a much simpler make up look and have gone back to basics. No blush or bright lips just simple and I have really been loving it. Of course I can't be without winged eye liner though! A couple of these products are new to my collection and I have been really enjoying using them so far!

Richard Ward Chelsea Collection Hair Care

If there is one type of hair products I am always switching up, its hair care. I have very long, colour treated hair which has had quite a bit of heat used on it so I am always on the hunt for new products to improve my hair. Richard Ward hair care is a line which I have never tried before so I was excited to receive the Chelsea collection!

St Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse

Being a very pale girl for pretty much all of the year, I sometimes need a bit of tan to look healthy. In the past few years I haven't really used any fake tan because I always ended with a massive fail but when I won a little package of tan from St Moriz I was so excited to get back into tanning. One of the products I got was the Instant Self Tanning Mousse in Medium and I have been loving it ever since.
