October 2014 Beauty Favourites

Happy Halloween! Can you believe October has been and gone already? I am so excited for Christmas now (expect lots of Christmassy posts for the next two months)! This month I have so many new beauty favourites and I honestly I don't think I could be without this products from now on, they have become a part of my daily routine and I know I will have to repurchase them soon! I am kicking myself that I didn't try a couple of these products sooner as they have become fast favourites!

A Glimpse Of Autumn

It is officially my favourite time of the year I am so glad to see the end of the Summer and I am welcoming the cold weather with open arms praying for snow soon. I love Autumn/Winter so much (I can't believe its Halloween tomorrow!) so when I saw that I was tagged by the lovely Albertine from DippyWrites I knew I had to do this tag as I loved reading her answers - thanks so much for tagging me! I love to read tags so hopefully you enjoy it too and keep an eye out at the end to see if you have been tagged!

REVIEW: Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

I am addicted to Cohorted which resulted in this purchase and I have never been so thankful for this product! Urban Decay is a brand that I am slowly falling in love with, first it was the Naked Basics 2 Palette and now it is the All Nighter Setting Spray and the fact that I ended up getting this for about £1.50 is incredible - so glad cohorted do reward points! If you haven't heard of Cohorted before, firstly where have you been! Every Monday at 6pm Cohorted release 4 new products every week and the more people that join the cohort the lower the price gets. Its basically Price Drop but with beauty products.

Beauty Wishlist #16

There is so many amazing beauty products out at the moment and my poor bank balance might end up suffering! With Christmas coming I know I should get my shopping finished but there is so many good products out at the moment, I might just have to treat myself! As Christmas is coming, less than two months now, brands have amazing sets which are such good value for money it would be rude not to pick up one or three!

REVIEW: Eyeko Mascara Off Wipes

Getting my mascara off when I am so tired can be a right pain in the bum. I can never go to sleep with my make up on but some times I just can't be bothered to stand there, use make up remover then a cleanser. I wanted to give something a try that would get all of my eye makeup off in one swipe and I have finally found that product in the Eyeko Mascara Off Wipes. I got these a month or so ago in a Beauty Box and totally forgot about them until I saw a review on them recently and finally decided to give them a try and I am so glad that I did!

Contouring With W7 Cosmetics

Contouring is one of those things that I struggle to do. It too me before to find the right products, whether it be powder or cream, and the right shade. W7 is a brand that I have known of for years but never thought of them when it comes to contouring. The Captain Matte Foundation*, Chunky Bronzer* and Chunky Cheeks* make contouring and creating that flawless base easy! Hopefully I am on my way to creating that Kimmy K Contour!

Christmas Beauty I'm Excited About #4

The Christmas beauty releases are flowing in and I am loving it! I cannot believe this is my fourth post about this years beauty releases and it is still October - craziness. My Christmas list is getting longer and longer on a daily basis with all of these fabulous beauty products and gift sets that have been released. The packaging from so many brands this year is on point and I'm not going to lie, it makes me want to buy them even more (I can't be the only one who is a sucker for cute packaging). Once Halloween is out of the way I will be in full blown Christmas mode and I am so excited.

Benefit Smoking Eyes Palette

I really dislike individual eyeshadows, I find them to be such a faff and I can never work out which ones would work well together so I always pick up palettes. I had fallen completely in love with the Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Palette so when I saw this Benefit Smokin' Eyes Palette* I knew I had to give it a try. This palette is going to be perfect for the upcoming party season and I know I am going to get tonnes of use out of this beauty already!

REVIEW: Bourjois 1 Seconde Mascara

Mascaras are one of those products that I am always on the hunt for finding the best of the best and I hardly ever repurchase the same one. However since trying the Bourjois 1 Seconde Mascara, I know I will be repurchasing this and I am kicking myself that I haven't tried it sooner. This mascara is aimed towards giving volume while giving clump free lashes.

What's In My Makeup Bag? | Zoella Beauty Bag

Only recently have I started using a make up bag on a daily basis. Because I have been getting up basically in the middle of the night I needed all of my products in one place so that I can find all of make up quicker. All but one of my products fits in this make up bag from the Zoella Beauty line and that is my Benefit Blush Palette from the Christmas collection which is by far my favourite purchase of the year. I was really surprised at how much I can actually fit in this make up bag, I have so much make up in there and there is still room for more!

REVIEW: Eyes of Horus Goddess Eye Pencil

I have heard such good things about the Eyes of Horus Eye Pencils that when a email popped in my inbox, I knew I had to see what all the fuss is about. I use eyeliners everyday, whether it be white in my waterline or a winged liner, it is a daily essential! The Eyes of Horus Eye Pencil in Teal Malachite* has sparked my love for these eye pencils and it certainly won't be my last. This eye pencil claims to be very long wearing and waterproof, and it always safe for the waterline. This eye liner is truly stunning. I would describe the colour as dark aquamarine/navy which has a lovely sheen to it, the pictures really don't do this eye pencil justice I'm telling you!

REVIEW: Yankee Candle Ghostly Treats Tart

With the cold weather settling in I love to get my candles burning, be all snuggled up and watching a good movie. Yankee Candle is my favourite candle brand but I find that I get bored of the scents when I buy them in the jar forms because they last so long (which isn't really a bag thing) which is where the tarts come in. A couple of months ago I purchased a Yankee Candle Tart Burner which is the best thing I have purchased all year. Each tart costs only £1.49 and gives up to eight hours of beautiful fragrance. When I saw the new Halloween limited editions scents were released I knew I had to get my hands on Ghostly Treats, a new scent for this year!

The Sunday Pamper

Sundays are my day, I normally go make up free and have a good old pamper. Sundays should be everyone's day of pampering, what else can you do on a Sunday other than eat a yummy roast? I have been using some lovely products during my Sunday pampers and knew I had to share them with you. Even if you don't quite fancy a full on pamper today, there will be at least one product there that might take your liking to help you relax.

There are some amazing body care gift sets this year and I just swoon over them, too beautiful! Just look at all this cute Christmas packaging, are you excited for Christmas yet? I know I am!

Top 5 Products Under £5

Beauty products in the UK can be pretty expensive even on the high street - what I would give to go make up shopping in the states! It can be hard to find products that are inexpensive but still great quality. One of my favourite make up brands happens to actually be one of the cheapest brands that I buy from yet the quality is the same as you could find in department stores which is Makeup Revolution. This whole post could be just about my top 5 products under £5 from Makeup Revolution but I thought I would share some of my handbag essentials which all happen to be very inexpensive.

Darker Lips For Autumn/Winter

Dark lip colours are a new product to me, until the beginning of this year I didn't even wear lip colours (shocking I know) but now I am obsessed with all the colours. I used to be scared of dark lips but oh how the times have changed! Darker lip colours can really change up your whole make up look, I love to add a darker pop of colour to my make my make up Autumn/Winter ready. I always thought you could only get away with darker lips in the evenings but I have been using one or two on these in the daytime and I have been loving it! These are my top 5 dark lip colours for Autumn/Winter and they are all under £10, who doesn't love a bargain!

Christmas Beauty I'm Excited About #2

Now that the X Factor Live Shows have officially started, my countdown to Christmas has begun! Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette

Urban Decay is one of the brands that I always wanted to purchase from but could never justify the price tags. I loved the look of the first Naked Basics Palette but because I am very pale skinned I didn't think I would get much wear out of it, then I saw the Naked 2 Basics I fell in love but at £22 for six eye shadows I couldn't really justify it. Then I saw it on Cohorted for £15.40 and knew I had to get my hands on it. This palette is made up of five matte shades and one demi-matte shadow which is aimed to being used as a highlight. Having had a little play around with this palette already I can already tell I am going to get a lot of wear out of this beauty!

Real Techniques Mini Trio

Real Techniques has been one of my favourite brush brands for over a year, not only are they inexpensive they are great quality and do an amazing job. So when I heard that you could sign up to test beauty products for review, I quickly signed up and a couple of days later the Real Techniques Mini Brush Trio* popped through my letter box. Nothing makes me happier than miniature things (aren't they the cutest!). In this tiny trio we have the face brush, foundation brush and the shading brush which is actually tiny sizes of the On Location Set.

La Roche Posay is one of my favourite skincare brands, whenever my skin is having a freak out I always turn to Effaclar Duo+ and it always gets my skin back under control. Within this system is three products (all of which are full size), we have the Effaclar Cleansing Gel 125ml, Effaclar Duo+ 40ml and currently exclusive to this system is the Effaclar Clarifying Toner 200ml. Halloween Nail Art Inspiration 2014

Halloween is just around the corner so I have been trying to find lots of ways to get involved with the festivities. Nail art is one of my favourite things even if I am terrible at it (practice makes perfect) so I thought I would share some of the designs I have been loving lately - all thanks to Pinterest! Obviously none of these are my own so I won't be taking credit for them but they are so amazing I knew I had to share!

REVIEW: Handirest + Giveaway

When it comes to painting my nails, I normally make a complete mess of my fingers and end up with nail polish all over my skin. Normally this isn't a problem as I just remove the excess in the morning while in the shower but more recently I have been painting my nails before heading out the door so I needed to try something new that would help me paint my nails a little better. Which is where Handirest*comes in. Handirest can be used for applying fake nails, painting your natural nails or for nail art, it will help steady your hands while keeping them comfortable.

Autumnal Wishlist

Autumn/Winter is the best time of the year for me! I just want crisp air, crunchy orange leaves and hot chocolate. And with that comes a new wardrobe, accessories and scents! I love autumn clothing, the boots and scarves as well as the layering! Can you tell I like cold weather yet? Can it be Christmas yet? Please! A couple of these items I have been eyeing for weeks and just writing this post staring at the pictures of them is making me want them even more!

Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Ultra-Nourishing Oil

With the cold weather starting to settle in, I am trying my best to keep my skin hydrated and nourished. Oils are a product that I am completely new too, when I think of body oils I think of being left feeling greasy but this is really not the case. The Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Ultra-Nourishing Oil* has started my obsession with body oils and I am so happy about it. My first impressions of this was good, the scent is incredible and really lingers on the skin which is one of my many loves about this oil.

REVIEW: Vichy Idealia Eyes

When it comes to skincare I really lack in eye products. I have really sensitive eye area's so I always struggle to find a product that works for me and doesn't cause a reaction so when I saw this was suitable skin I knew I had to give it a try. This is the Vichy Idealia Eyes* which claims to reduce the look of dark circles, illuminate shadows and smooths the look of fine lines and textures - some pretty big claims here Vichy!

Beauty Advent Calenders 2014

I love Christmas and getting a little door to open everyday in the run up to the big day so what is better than getting a little chocolate? A beauty product of course! I think the beauty advent calenders have got massive this year and I have found quite a few online already and lets just say they are amazing. Although some are on the more expensive side they are worth it when you think about how many products you are getting. These are also great ways to try out a brand and find out products you like and don't like. I think I will end up getting one of these calenders this year because I just cannot resist!

Beauty Wishlist #15

I can't believe this is my 15th wishlist, that's too many beauty products that I want to get my hands on! I have actually put myself on a spending ban for make up until I use up at least ten items which is slowly killing me because of all of the new Autumn/Winter releases! Even though I am on a spending ban I have still found myself browsing the beauty sites and have found myself wanting a few things. I am going to try and resist the urge to make an online order of these items....

A Black Toothpaste? | Beverly Hills Formula

One product I am so fussy about is toothpaste. I hate the way some makes my teeth feel and some just don't make them any whiter which is why I only use Beverly Hills Formula. Since I was about 15 I have been using this brand and it is possibly the best brand of toothpaste I have ever used. When I was at school I used to get accused of having my teeth professionally whitened - I only used beverly hills formula. So when an email popped in my inbox about their new black toothpaste* I had high hopes and knew I had to give it a go!

Christmas Beauty I'm Excited About #1

Now that it is less than three months until Christmas I can justify writing a couple Christmas themed blog posts (bring on December when I can go nuts). The beauty Christmas releases are slowly coming in and I have already found loads of things I am excited about (I may have already purchased a few) so I thought I would start sharing some of the releases so that you can get all excited about them too! Some of these I have only seen in the States so far but hopefully they make their way over to the UK soon - I need them in my life! Christmas is my favourite time of the year ever and beauty products are my favourite thing so when my favourite things combine it makes me want to explode with excitement!

Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Gift Set

If you read my blog by now you might know how much I love Christmas and Benefit so when the two combine I almost explode with excitement. Benefit packaging is by far the stand out with its cuteness and at Christmas the packaging is even more perfect. Ever since I saw the promo pictures for this blush palette, I knew it had to be mine as soon as I found it for sale and it was love at first sight.
