Dark lip colours are a new product to me, until the beginning of this year I didn't even wear lip colours (shocking I know) but now I am obsessed with all the colours. I used to be scared of dark lips but oh how the times have changed! Darker lip colours can really change up your whole make up look, I love to add a darker pop of colour to my make my make up Autumn/Winter ready. I always thought you could only get away with darker lips in the evenings but I have been using one or two on these in the daytime and I have been loving it! These are my top 5 dark lip colours for Autumn/Winter and they are all under £10, who doesn't love a bargain!
The Revlon Lacquer Balm in Whimsical too me the longest time to use because it scared me but now I find myself using it on a weekly basis. What I love about this balm is that it can be worn sneered out for daily time and applied to its full intensity for night time. This is one of the easiest products to apply as it is in a crayon which are my favourite. This does have some slight glitter in it, like all of the lacquer balms, so if your not a glitter fan I wouldn't recommend this to you but I however really like it and find it isn't too noticeable on the lips which I prefer. This is one of the most long lasting lip products that I have tried, it sticks around for a good four hours before it needs a touch up. This lacquer balm retails for £7.99.
Last year in the Christmas sales I picked up the mini Topshop Rockabilly Lip Bullet for £1, I couldn't believe I found it for £1 and even better, I ordered the last one! This is one of the deepest reds I have ever owned and I love it, it is going to be perfect for party season and I know I am going to get tonnes of wear out of this beauty. This does apply slightly on the matte side with I prefer but I would say to use a lip liner with this one as it does tend to bleed outside of the lips.
The Barry M Cor Balmy in Currant Bun is currently my favourite out of the five. Not only does it have the most amazing scent/taste it also has great colour pay off. This is one of the shades that I find I can give away with wearing in the day time because it is on the sheerer side. Not only does this have a great colour it also is very hydrating on the lips because it is actually a lip balm! This is the darkest shade from the Barry M Cor Balmys and it has to be my favourite out of them, would recommend you check these out next time your at the Barry M stand!
For my birthday this year I got the first of my dark lip colours which is the H&M Landinski Matte Lipstick. Never did I release that H&M have some great beauty products! This shade is obviously matte, as you can use from the name and is one of the most pigmented lipsticks I have ever used. This is such a lovely purple and definitely makes a statement and I love that it smells like sweets, I have found myself sniffing it on a couple of occasions because it smells that good!
And finally we have the Makeup Revolution Rebel With Cause Lipstick. I cannot believe this beauty was only £1! Have read so many blog posts on this lipstick I think it is a dupe for MAC Rebel, I have always wanted that shade but couldn't justify the £15 price tag and now I don't have to. This is such a long lasting lipstick even when worn sheered out (perfect for day time) and to its full intensity which is perfect for the evenings and nights out. For £1 you need this in your life!
