January 2018 Beauty Favourites

I’m so happy to see the end of January, mainly because my birthday is in February! This month I have been trying out so many new products and I have struck gold, finding some amazing products! All of my favourites this month are new discoveries and ones I have picked up or was gifted in the last 6 weeks.

Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter

Highlighters are by far my favourite makeup product to buy as I feel like I can always justify it! I have had this on my wishlist ever since I saw it on Instagram, I wasn't 100% sure on the packaging at first as I thought it was cardboard and not worth the price but I am so glad I picked it up now! It's unlike anything I have tried, Too Faced has done it again!

New In Beauty: January 2018

I love seeing all the new launches come out every month so I thought I would start sharing my favourite launches of the month again! This month there has been so many incredible looking launches and if I had the bank balance for it, all of this would be mine! There also seems to be a bit of a pink packaging theme this month too....

Royal Rumble 2018 Predictions

I've decided that I need to talk about wrestling more on my blog as I know there are quite a few people that follow me that like wrestling and makeup. I love WWE as much as I do makeup so I wanted to share my Royal Rumble predictions as it's one of my favourite PPVs and I get so excited that it's finally the road to Wrestlemania.

Well, I wanted to be able to share a little something different and as I can't personally test these out myself - I had my Mum put them to the test! Institut Esthederm Intensive Vitamin C Cream

Vitamin C in skincare is going to be a big trend in the next couple of months, I have already reviewed one Vitamin C product and I have more posts on them coming soon! This is a really expensive face cream so I was really interested to see just how well it works and I have pretty much fallen in love with it!

Essie Winter Nail Polish Staples

Winter is my favourite season when it comes to nails, I love all the darker shades. I know I can wear them whenever I like but they are just my favourite thing at this time of year. I don't usually have the time to paint my nails but I have made it a 2018 goal to take a little time for myself every few years and painting my nails is something I have been really enjoying.

Glossier Haul

I have had some credit on Glossier burning a hole in my pocket for weeks. Then finally they dropped a new product and POOF all my credit (and money) went! I had been hearing about the new product on social for a little while so I'm glad I held out as it sounds perfect for my skin. GOSH Mix & Fix Colour Drops

I have been wanting to try this kind of product for a while now and I am all about finding gems on the high street. I have been using GOSH products for years and I couldn't wait to give this new launch a try and these haven't disappointed at all! These are definitely something you should invest in, if you ask me.

What to Watch on Netflix This Weekend

If I could get paid to binge watch Netflix, I would have found my dream job. I bloody love Netflix and I am constantly watching movies and TV shows on the app and recommending my favourites. Cruelty Free Beauty

Last year after I saw something that Kat Von D had posted on Instagram, about animal testing, I said I would never personally buy any makeup that is tested on animals ever again. I have had to stop buying what were some of my favourite brands and products and find replacements. Luckily my top three brands don't test on animals or sell in China. Everyone is different when it comes to this topic and some people won't buy products from Urban Decay or Too Faced for example as their parent companies test on animals but if the actual brand doesn't test on them then I will buy their products, I hope that makes sense.

Kat Von D Metal Crush Extreme Highlighting Palette

I am in a full-on love affair with highlighters that I don't see ending anytime soon. When I saw this palette pop up on Instagram, I wasn't sure if it would actually be something I would use but the more and more I saw it, the more I knew I had to have it! This is limited edition so if you don't want it, I wouldn't wait around.

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder Review

I love a good face powder and I always stick to the high street for powders as I seem to go through them so quickly. I have combination skin, in areas it's oily and in others it's super dry so it can be difficult to find a powder that actually works for me. I have previously tried the other two products from this line and loved them so I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this!

New Year, New Makeup

I love any excuse to get new beauty products and I think the New Year is a perfect one! I have been updating my skincare and makeup collections this month ready for the year and I always like to buy my products at a discount if I can which is where Fragrance Direct come in. Small Businesses to Support in 2018

This year I decided that I wanted to support smaller businesses when it comes to shopping. I purposely will shop in my little town for things for my bunnies to support the local small pet shop rather than shopping at a big chain company and I wanted to start doing this online more. I love how many people I follow on Twitter are starting up their own businesses and I can't wait to make orders from them soon.

Beauty Wishlist #50

I may have only just posted a haul but I seem to have a massive beauty wishlist at the moment! I don't usually have a lot of beauty on my wishlist but I seem to just want everything at the moment. There seems to be a lot of new launches out the moment too which doesn't help my poor bank balance.

Bigger and Plumper Lips Without Injections

I’ve never been a massive fan of my lips, my top lip is slightly wonky and thin so whenever I would wear bolder lip products I felt like it always drew attention to it. I had considered having lip injections done, but honestly, I’m too much of a baby for it so I turned to trying out different lip pumping products at home and found some amazing ones that actually work.

New Makeup Additions

January for me is the month to buy new makeup for the year. I don’t buy that is this amount usually in one go but I received some lovely gift cards for Christmas so I have been ordering the products I had been lusting after. I’m still waiting on a couple of Too Faced products to launch and then I think I’ll be set on new makeup for a while...at least until something new is released!

2018 is the year of vitamin C skincare and I am all about it! I have always loved the results from using vitamin C based products so I couldn't wait to put this one from Vichy to the test! One of my new year resolutions is to read my blogs and make an effort to comment on them, I just never seem to have enough time! I also want to share the love more because social media can be a very negative space. Glowing All Out with Essence

As much as I love my high end, luxury products, when it comes to great makeup you can't go wrong with Essence. I really do love the brand and I always love trying out anything new that they come out with. I love highlighters, I don't think that's a secret, and anything glowy or sparkly so these products sounded right up my street! One amazing thing I love about Essence is that they don't test on animals, more brands need to get on board!!

2017 Beauty Favourites

2017 flew by, didn't it! I hope 2018 is a much better year when it comes to blogging for me as last year it seemed I had quite a lot of bad luck if I'm honest! I love doing monthly favourites and I had a look back through each month of 2017 and instantly knew which products were my favourites from the whole year as I am still using them every single day and couldn't be without them! These products I recommend to everyone I speak to and I have backups of most at the ready.

I Got Shadow Banned on Twitter (and What I Did to Fix It)

The last couple of month of 2017 had bought me some bad luck when it came to blogging. I had a girl steal 18 of my blog posts who then decided to call me every name under the sun on her Facebook (this is just an example) and then I got shadowbanned on Twitter. I had only heard a little bit about being shadowbanned on Twitter and then it happened to me. I thought I would share my experience with it and how I fixed it because there really isn't too much information out there.
