Real Techniques Ready Set Glow Set Review

I had been wanting to get some new makeup brushes for a while now and Real Techniques has always been one of my go-to brands when it comes to brushes. I have always loved their brushes and they are such great quality for the price! For Christmas, I received this set and it's perfect for all my highlighting needs!

This is the Real Techniques Ready Set Glow Set that comes with three exclusive brushes as well as one brand new one and a beauty sponge. I love to highlight, I don't think that that is much of a secret if you have been following me for a while now! This set would be great if you are wanting to grow your brush collection and love to highlight as this is really all you could ever need to highlight with! This set does retail for £19.99 but I know when my Mum ordered it it was around £8 so definitely keep an eye on the Superdrug website if you do want to get your hands on it!

The first of the two exclusive brushes in this kit is the Multitask Cheek Brush which has been designed to lightly dust on powder blush or bronzer to the apples of the cheeks for a natural finish. The other exclusive brush is the Targeted Blending Brush which is densely packed to blend highlighting liquid and creams. The new and exclusive brush to this set is the Strobing Fan Brush which has been designed to be used to sweep on highlighting powders across the tops of the cheeks, over the brow bones and down the nose for a luminous finish. You also get the Miracle Sculpting Sponge to create shadows or highlight your favourite facial features. You can use this damp for a dewy glow or dry for a full coverage finish, I always prefer to use my beauty sponges damp personally!

What I like about this brush set is that these brushes have a slightly different design than the core collection. They still have pink handles like the other finishing brushes from the range but these have a pretty design on them with lighter pink stripes on them. They also have pink rubber bottoms rather than black and I love these little changes and updates. As always with RT brushes, these are great quality, they have a nice weight to them and the brushes themselves are super soft, especially the fan brush!

I haven't been a fan of fan brushes for a while now but there is just something about the Strobing Fan Brush that I love, it makes my highlight look gorgeous on the skin. I have been really liking it to apply a little highlight to my top lip too. I also like the Multitasking Cheek Brush for highlight for when I want a slightly sheerer effect and the Targeted Blending Brush is fantastic for creams and powders! I like to use this for packing on my highlight when I want more of an intense glow. I haven't played around with the sponge too much yet but I would recommend this set for the three brushes alone!
