Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter

Highlighters are by far my favourite makeup product to buy as I feel like I can always justify it! I have had this on my wishlist ever since I saw it on Instagram, I wasn't 100% sure on the packaging at first as I thought it was cardboard and not worth the price but I am so glad I picked it up now! It's unlike anything I have tried, Too Faced has done it again!

This is the brand new Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter that is out of this world in formulation and presentation. This is a prismatic highlighter that has been infused with real crushed diamond powder and light-reflecting pearls for an extra luxe sparkle. It's artisan-made and hand poured making every highlighter one of a kind, just like a diamond. This product was inspired by the diamond ring that Jeremey gave Jerrod for their 20th anniversary. It mimics the diamond fire glow of a real diamond in its purest form. It can be used on the eyes, face and body so I have definitely been experimenting with it!

When I first saw the price tag I was taken aback a bit...£28 for one highlighter?! I thought that was a little steep for Too Faced but when it arrived I completely understood for the packaging alone. This comes in a box that you could never throw away! It comes in a beautiful baby pink box and when you open it up it reveals another engagement ring style box that the highlighter is actually in. Too Faced have gone all out on this packaging and it is completely obsessive and over the top but that's why I love the brand. The box itself is made of cardboard but it does feel very durable, it almost feels like a hardened leather and the attention to detail is phenomenal. It has gold foil elements and the box itself even has a metal popper that you would find on an actual ring box.

This is a very finely milled powder and applies so silky smooth the skin and it is very buildable. I was surprised that with it being so soft to the touch that you don't get any kickback or fall out as you apply it! You can create a natural glow with this product or you can build it up for a more intense sheen. It also works well paired with other products and applied over liquid highlighters to make it that little more intense. This highlighter is so unique in that every time you apply it or swatch it, it is slightly different and creates a bespoke shade, I always find myself moving my head to see which hue it turns! It has shades of pink, blue and gold so whenever you swirl your fingertips or brush into the product you end up with a slightly different light-reflecting sheen. It is incredibly glowy on the skin and looks stunning on the cheekbones. I have also applied this to my lips by pressing it over a liquid or matte lipstick and it looks so good and I would have never thought to have tried that!

It looks very smooth on the skin and doesn't draw any attention to my texture issues. One of the pro's to this product is that it is fairly long-lasting, I have tried a couple of other highlighters from the brand and while I do love them, they don't last as well as this one does on the cheekbones. Even with this reflecting so many different hues, it doesn't look too intense or dramatic for everyday use. I have found myself using it most days since it arrived and I just can't get enough of it!

The Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter is cruelty-free, vegan and formulated without parabens. It retails for £28 at Cult Beauty - HERE.
