April Beauty Favourites 2016

This year really is flying by isn't it?! I feel like I say that every month though! This month think I have a lot of favourites compared to the past couple of months. My favouirites this month are basically face and lip products which are my favourite types of products to buy! I was feeling very spendy in the last month and a lot of my purchases have already become favourites.

Sleek Control Shine & Prime

I love trying new primers as they can make your makeup look and last so much longer depending on the one you choose. Sleek is an affordable brand which is available in Boots and Superdrug, I love trying out primers which help minimise the appearance of pores so I was excited to try out the Control Shine & Prime.

Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks

I have always been a bit snacker and I love crisps more than any other food, well except pizza! A few months ago in one of my Degustaboxes I received a big bag of Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks and I have been hooked ever since. If you love crisps like I do, you might want to try this healthier alternative!

Flamingo Candles Strawberry Cream Tea Scent Melt

I have been loving my scent melts from Flamingo Candles recently and I couldn't wait to pop Strawberry Cream Tea in my warmer. This brand has a great range of scents and I love the scent melts as they still provide great scent kick off even though they are much smaller than a jar candle. This scent melt sounded right up my street as I love anything strawberry scented!

Elegant Touch House of Holland Collection V

I love wearing false nails as my nails are never very long and I suck at nail art. The Elegant Touch nails are my favourites and I always love when they collaborate with House of Holland. Recently Eylure collaborated with House of Holland with three gorgeous styles of lashes (post here) and now we have new nails!

Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light

I am finally getting into contouring and have been on the hunt for products on a budget. Sleek is one of my favourite high street brands and I have been obsessed with their lip products recently so I couldn't wait to try out the Face Contour Kit. I have been loving it so far!

Huda Beauty Lip Contour in Video Star

Huda Beauty is one gorgeous lady with an incredible instagram account. When I heard she had essentially lip liners coming out, I didn't think I was going to get one. But of course, the hype got to me and I ended up ordering one a few days after they were released. The Lip Contours sold out super quickly but Video Star was still in stock a few days after release so of course I had to order it. These won't be back in stock until July time so it might be worth joining the wait list if you are interested.

Jamberry Nail Wraps

I have always been rubbish at nail art no matter how hard I try. I don't like to wear false nails too often because I have two bunnies and it makes it difficult to pick them up as I don't want to hurt them. So nail wraps are the next best thing for me! I had heard some great things about Jamberry in recent months and I couldn't wait to try out their nail wraps for myself!

WoodWick Vanilla Bean Wax Melt

Of course I would go to the Zoo and buy candles! While I was in the Zoo gift shop I noticed some WoodWick melts so I thought I would pick one up and see how they compare to my other favourite melts, of course I picked up some Yankee Candle melts too. I know WoodWick candles are sold in Boots but I haven't ever seen the melts but I have tracked some down on eBay so I can try some other scents soon.

Benefit Dandelion Shy Beam

When I saw all of the new Benefit releases the one product I knew I had to get my hands on was Shy Beam. The day it went on Feel Unique I ordered it and I have been loving it ever since (you might have seen it in my haul - HERE). I was a little nervous to try Shy Beam as I can't use High Beam as I had a reaction to it but luckily for me Shy Beam is fine for my skin - yippee!

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Are Real Palette (+ Swatches)

When it comes to fun eyeshadow palettes, I always look to Makeup Revolution! As I tend to be quite boring with my eyeshadow most days, I like to find good fun palettes on a budget and for £4 a palette from Makeup Revolution you can't go wrong! Makeup Revolution are firm believers that Unicorns are real and this palette is one of the newer Unicorn related releases and it is packed full of gorgeous and fun shades.

The Importance of a Digital Detox

I think everyone would agree with me when I say that we are always plugged into the internet. I know that I always have my phone in my hand and can find it difficult to stay offline for a day or two. But I do think it is important to take time away from the internet as I get a little dependant on it so I like to try and take at least a few hours a week or a few days a month internet free.

I have been loving Flamingo Candles recently, I honestly cant believe it took me so long to try the brand! Spring Break is a scent which I was pretty excited to melt as it is slightly different to what I would usually go for but I have always found that I love the scents when I go outside of my comfort zone. Up until last year, I had never really been an eyelash wearer. I always thought they were too dramatic and a bit of a faff to apply but I was so wrong. With there being so many different lash styles available from Eylure, I wish I started wearing lashes sooner! I can't believe how many makeup products I put on my face every single day! I thought it would be interesting to see how much my face is worth, so to speak. I love buying and trying out new makeup so of course these products change often but these are the products which I have been using every single day for the past couple of weeks!

I having been trying out a few products from Sleek recently and I have been really enjoying the VIP Lipsticks. I don't typically wear a lot of lipstick as I usually prefer a gloss or tint but these may have changed my mind! Yankee Candle Simply Home Shea Butter & Vanilla

It's no secret how much of a big Yankee Candle fan I am. I have been really enjoying many of the Simply Home scents recently, this is a slightly cheaper range from Yankee Candle and is available in larger ASDA and Tesco stores (at least that is where I have found them stocked). One of the new scents for the Simply Home range for Spring 2016 is Shea Butter & Vanilla which sounded right up my street!

Product of the Week #4: Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation

This time around I knew exactly what product I was going to chose because I have been absolutely obsessed with this foundation again. I realised that I had forgotten about this foundation until I did my shopping my stash post and I am so happy I have pulled it out again!

High End Makeup Collection

While I don't have the biggest makeup collection, I have collected quite a few things from the beauty counters so I thought I would share my collection. When I say high end, I mean things you wouldn't be able to purchase in Superdrug or things from a beauty counter or department store. Most of my high end collection is lip products and I am totally okay with that!

Concealing Acne and Redness

I have always struggled with acne since I was a teenager and even prescriptions from the Doctor couldn't completely get rid of it. While my skin has been much better in recent years, I still get terrible periods of bad skin. At the moment, it is horrendous. I get nodules which are extremely painful and last for weeks on my skin so I always need to get selection of heavy duty products to help conceal them. These are the four products which I always turn to when my skin is having a freak out.

Everyday Base Must Haves

I have been on a quest to find the best combination of products to give me a flawless base and I think I have finally found the products! It was not until recently that I realised how much of my makeup that I use everyday is from the high end so I have picked up some products from the high street for a more affordable face which will be coming up in the next couple of weeks. These are the products which I have been using every single day for the last month or so.

Barry M Contour Kit

I have finally got into the world of contouring - only a bit late, hey! I have had a bit of a love/hate relationship with the way contouring looks but decided to give it a try when I spotted a highstreet contouring palette. I think it is always fun to try out new makeup looks, especially when the products are on a budget. I am not the best at makeup but I love experimenting with it and this palette it has been perfect to do so.

Opps... I *may* have spent a little too much on makeup this week! I haven't really ordered or purchased any new makeup in a few months so I though it was about time I treated myself! I had been dieing to get my hands on another Urban Decay Naked Palette after having the Smoky version which is the main reason why I placed this huge order! Sorry bank balance, I'm not done yet!

$26 Prescription Glasses | Firmoo Glasses Review

Ever since I was about 14 I have needed glasses as being on the computer so much during my GCSE's ruined my eye sight. It wasn't until a few years ago that I realised how much cheaper it is to order prescription glasses online rather than getting them from the opticians, I also went private so you can imagine how expensive each trip to get my eyes tested was! Firmoo is a company which I had been wanting to order from for a while now and I have never been so impressed with glasses.

Soap and Glory Kick Ass All is Calm Stick

One of my main struggles with my skin, besides acne, is redness. I have tried the highest coverage foundations and so many green based products to try and counteract it but the redness always peeks through my foundation and concealer. When I spotted the new Kick Ass Face Sticks from Soap and Glory I knew I had to get my hands on All is Calm to see if it would help with my redness. Spring Barry M Nail Polish Favourites

Barry M nail polishes are my favourite as they have such a good selection of formulas and shades while being super affordable and accessible! Spring time is my favourite time of year for my nails because I get to get out all of my pretty pastel shades. When I was choosing out shades for Spring, every single shade I picked was from Barry M and I can't wait to paint my nails next!

Yankee Candle Simply Home Sage & White Tea

When I spotted a few new scents to the Simply Home range from Yankee Candle when I was doing a food shop in Tesco, I knew I had to pick them all up - even better that the wax melts were only 80p each! Sage & White Tea was one of the scents that I didn't think I was going to be too keen on because it is different than what I usually go for but I have really enjoyed melting it!

Primark Exclusive Baby Balmi Lip Balm

If there is one product I have far too many of, it's lip balms! But I just can't stop buying them, I must have at least four in my handbag alone with the rest of them scattered in my makeup collection and around my house. While I was checking out in Primark, I spotted the cute Baby Balmi Lip Balm and knew I had to pop it in my basket - I always get sucked into those last minute purchases when queueing which you never need!

Shopping My Stash (Spring Edition)

I have always loved the shop my stash videos on Youtube and thought it would make an interesting blog post! I have far too much makeup that I can actually use on a daily basis so a lot of it goes untouched for months and collects dust sitting in a draw. I went through my stash and pulled out some products that I have used in a while and some that I loved at this time last year and I can't wait to start using them again!

Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream

I will be the first to admit that I know I should be using an eye cream everyday but I just couldn't be bothered before and the ones I had been using didn't seem to make a difference. Then I won the Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream in a giveaway on Twitter and I haven't stopped using it since! I am so glad that I won it because I don't think I personally would have spent the £22 without trying it first.

Top 5 High End Lip Products

If I am ever going to splurge on a makeup item, it is usually a lip related product. I don't know how I can justify a £23 lip balm but I cant justify a Urban Decay Naked Palette but thats how my brain works! These five products are my favourites from the high end counters at the moment and if you don't have at least one of these, they are definitely worth the splurge.

Flamingo Candles Green Apples Scent Melt

I am obsessed with wax melts and prefer them over candles because I like to try out lots of scents. I am finally trying other brands than Yankee Candle and Flamingo Candles were at the top of my to try list for 2016! While I was on Amazon, I spotted some of their melts and checked out immediately and one of the melts I picked up was in the Green Apples scent.
