Huda Beauty is one gorgeous lady with an incredible instagram account. When I heard she had essentially lip liners coming out, I didn't think I was going to get one. But of course, the hype got to me and I ended up ordering one a few days after they were released. The Lip Contours sold out super quickly but Video Star was still in stock a few days after release so of course I had to order it. These won't be back in stock until July time so it might be worth joining the wait list if you are interested.
The Huda Beauty Lip Contours are available in nine different shades with a range of nudes to bright pinks and a gorgeous dark shade. The Lip Contours are designed to help create a full pout without needing any fillers! These lip contours are going to be perfect to slightly over draw your lips as they are so soft and buttery which allows you to create a precise outline. With a great range of shades available there is bound to be a shade for you, Huda's personal favourite is Trendsetter and I have my eyes on Gossip Gurl next!
I have never been a massive lip liner or matte lips fan I must admit, but these have completely changed my mind! Video Star is a gorgeous bright pink shade which is going to be perfect for Summer, I always find that brighter shades compliment my skin and hair colour as I have very dark hair. From the first time I applied this to my lips I knew I was going to need more shades. These are incredibly creamy but they set so they don't smudge throughout the day. I used it to outline my lips and slightly over draw them to make them appear bigger, then completely fill in my lips. If I don't want a matte finish I will pop on a gloss or lip oil over the top.
I usually hate the way matte lip products feel on the lips but this lip contour was so comfortable and for most of the day I couldn't even feel it on the lips. As these do have a matte finish, I did expect them to be drying on the lips but as they are enriched with hydrating ingredients my lips weren't dry at the end of the day! The finish and feel to the lips is matte but it looks and feels velvety. I am so impressed with how long lasting this was on the lips! I was eating and drinking throughout the day and this held up so well. Of course it did start to fade but I was very impressed that I still had bright pink lips after eating a full meal. While I did slightly over draw my lips with this, it wasn't obvious and didn't feather or bleed at all.
Will I be buying more shades? You bet I will! The Huda Beauty Lip Contours retail for £16 each and are available from Cult Beauty in the UK. They should be back in stock around July but obviously they are doing everything they can to bring that date forward!
