Nip+Fab Highlighting Palette Review (+ Swatches)

As soon as Nip+Fab launched their new makeup range, I knew I had to try something! And of course, the first product I went for was their gorgeous highlighting palette. I am a huge highlighter lover, I have a drawer full but I had to make room for this pretty palette! I have always liked Nip+Fab skincare products so I was excited to try out their makeup, especially with everyone raving about the range. They had a great offer on a Superdrug too so when I ordered this, I also got a liquid lipstick (that my sister has stolen), lip liner and mascara to try as well for free in a cute little makeup bag. Nip+Fab Highlighting Palette

Swatched: Selfie, Champagne, Golden, Sunbeam, Rose Gold & Sunkissed.

For £15, this is a good value for money product as you get six highlighting shades with at least one or two shades that will work for your skin tone and the ones that are a little too dark or light would make incredible eyeshadows! I have actually been using the two darkest shades on the lid with a matte shade in the crease which I have been really liking! I can personally use four of these shades as cheekbone highlighters and I have even been mixing a few to make different shades! I have also been using them as inner corner highlighters and to highlight the lips as it helps make them appear bigger.

I really like the packaging of this product and it is so practical. The palette itself is on the sleeker side and has a clear lid so you can easily see all of the shades inside, perfect if you own a few of the Nip+Fab palettes! As it does have a clear lid, this means it doesn't have a mirror in but I haven't been all that bothered bout it not having one. I really like that the palette is made of plastic as well so it makes it better for keeping in your makeup bag as well as for travelling and it does feel of decent quality. One touch I love about the packaging is that on the back of the palette, it has the names listed, not many high street brands actually give their shades names in palettes.

This palette has been said to be a strobing palette but I have found it to be more of a lighter glow on the cheekbones rather than being super intense. If you have used the Jeffree Star Skin Frosts, you will know how intense those are and any other highlighter just doesn't compare when it comes to a crazy glow. But that doesn't mean these aren't glowy, because they are but they look slightly more natural on the skin compared to Jeffree's. These swatch beautifully but when you apply them with a brush, they are on the more powdery side however, they blend really easily onto the skin and don't emphasise my pores or skin texture. I do like to build them up to get a slightly more intense glow and I do like them even more when applied with a damp brush.

They aren't glittery or chunky at all on the skin and I have used so many different brushes to apply them and I have found anything but a fan brush works great with these highlighters. My favourite shades from the palette at the moment are Champagne and Golden mixed with Sunbeam. I have been really liking how they look on the skin but they aren't super long lasting, when I apply these at 5 am I do have to reapply by the afternoon but I doubt this would be a problem for anyone else as I would have already had them on for about nine hours by the time I needed to reapply.
