Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation

I have been wanting to try a new high street foundation for a while, ever since I got my Chanel foundation I knew I didn't want to use it everyday so I needed a new one. I haven't really been a massive Maybelline foundation fan but I had read a couple different reviews on the Dream Flawless Nude Foundation and thought I would give it a try while it is on offer in Boots.

The packaging of the bottle is pretty cute! It is a tiny little bottle shaped like a droplet. The applicator is a little bit strange if I am honest. Theo only way to get it from the bottle to my face is to wipe the applicator on my face which is weird I would have much preferred a pump but I can get past the applicator because I do really like the foundation. I went for the lightest shade that was available which is 10 Ivory and it is a pretty good match for my pale skin.

The foundation has a very light weight feel to the skin and you can't even feel it once it has been applied to the face. This foundation isn't a full coverage foundation so if that is what you are looking for I would give this one a miss. I love the look it give my skin. I have had so many compliments on my skin since I have been wearing this which is lovely! It does gives a flawless appearance to the skin and makes it look like your skin but better. I would say this foundation has medium coverage, if you apply a good concealer you'll be good to go. It also gives such a lovely soft texture to the skin which I wasn't expecting. I can get a good six hours wear out of this foundation before I need to touch up which I think is pretty good for a high street foundation.

Overall I really love this foundation and I will repurchase it again because I think it is going to be perfect in the Summer months due to its light weight feel and look to the skin. Dream Flawless Nude retails for £8.99 but is currently on introductory offer at £5.99 until the 18th of this month and is also on 3 for 2 on all Maybelline products at Boots

Have you tried this foundation? What did you think?

  1. Sounds like a lovely foundation but the way it is designed to apply it would put me off x

  2. I've heard mixed reviews on this foundation. That applicator is such an unusual choice. I don't understand why Maybelline would opt for that over a pump. That to one side, I do like a light-weight foundation for everyday wear as I hate wearing heavy/cakey make up all day long. I've kinda been avoiding this one but I may give it a swatch next time I'm at the beauty counter. Thanks for sharing Hannah :) xxx

  4. I have wanted to try this foundation ever since I first heard about it, it's reviews have been pretty good. I am quite pale, so I'm glad it comes in Ivory, but I am interested whether it will be light enough as sometimes the lightest shades are still a little dark for my ghostly skin! I will definitely have to go and check though!

  5. Like the sound of this! Want to give it a go but am slightly hesitant about the coverage as I tend to go for more high coverage foundations.
The applicator sounds strange as well but I like trying out new things.

  6. I like the sound of this foundation but I am not a fan of the applicator, I feel like you would not be able to get a lot of the product out of the bottle.

  8. My friend has this and also loves it :) I have to say I'm a full coverage girl myself so not sure it would be for me though!
