Now that summer is officially here and we are having a heat wave in the UK this week, it's the perfect time to share my must-have products for this summer. If you are looking for a selection of beauty products to survive with this summer then look no further!
When I think of summer beauty products, I always think of glowy, long-wearing products and keeping my skin and body protected against sun damage. I usually wear matte foundations so anything I can use to add some glow, I am all about! The Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer is a product that everybody seems to rave about and now I understand why, it's gorgeous! It adds the most stunning glow to the skin without making you look like a disco ball. Lip glosses are a handbag must have and the Becca Liquid Crystal Lip Topper in Citrine x Apricot is out of this world. It is so glowy, sparkly and sheeny on the lips and I can't stop wearing it. it isn't sticky and it looks lovely worn alone or over the top of a peachy lipstick.
While I adore the glowy look, I always need a little powder to make sure that I don't end up with oily looking skin. The Technic Colour Fix Water Resistant Powder has been great. I love that it has a weightless feel to it but it is extremely long-wearing. Some days I will use a tiny amount of this over the top of Wonderglow and be done with my base for the day. My final makeup pick is the L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara. This wears extremely well throughout the day and doesn't smudge which is a major plus! It's a great all in one mascara that lengthens the lashes, slightly curls while thickening and adding volume. It reminds me of Too Faced's mascara but much more affordable.
My final two picks are body care items. In the summer it is a must that you keep your skin protected, I almost always have SPF on during the warm months as I don't want to have my skin ageing any earlier than it will. The Garnier Ambre Solaire UV Water SPF 30 Spray is extremely light on the skin and doesn't leave you with a white cast or feeling sticky. SPF 30 is usually my go-to but I always check the weather app before heading out to see how strong those rays are. Even though I always try to make sure I'm wearing SPF, I seem to get burned a few times during the summer so I like to have an after sun product on hand at all times. The Piz Buin After Sun Instant Relief Mist is a new favourite. As the name suggests, it provides instant relief and comfort for sunburnt skin as well as hydrating the skin thanks to Hyaluronic Acid and it's great to use on the go.
