REVIEW: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Finding a good top coat is something that I have never found until now. I either didn't use a top coat or I was using such a rubbish one that I never noticed any effects from it. The Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat* is one that is massively raved about in the beauty world so I thought it was finally time that I found out what all the fuss was about.

The packaging is very simple, clear so you can see through the bottle and to see how much you have left before you need to repurchase and the cap of the bottle is on the longer side and it fits better in my hand which makes application easier. I love that it comes in a box, makes it feel very luxurious to me. When I first got this I was a little scared to use it as there is a scary warning on the side of the box which says ''This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm''. That put me off before I had even used it but after some research it can only harm you if you basically eat it so I am just making sure to not bite off my nail polish so avoid that. I am quite surprised that in all the review posts and videos I have watched that no one has mentioned this, even if it is nothing to worry about!

The top coat itself does have a pretty strong chemically scent but once its applied to the nails it is gone. This top coat is incredible and I don't know why it has taken me so long to try it. It dries so quickly which is why I wanted to try it because I am extremely inpatient and I hate having to sit still or over an hour. When I use this top coat I can continue as normal within ten minutes, even if I dig around in my make up bag for something they don't dent! It is extremely glossy and the shininess stays around until it comes to removing my nail polish. Besides the quick drying time and glossiness my favourite thing about this top coat is how much longer it makes my nail colour last. I can get an additional, at least, three days wear out of my nails which I am so impressed with. Many  of my cheaper nail polishes chip within a day but when I use this top coat I can get at least five full days wear!

I love this top coat and I don't think I will use any other top coat now I have tried this one. You can get this in a duo from Cosme-De for just £16 which I think is a steal when just one bottle on the high street in England retails for around £10 depending on stockists.

Have you tried Seche Vite? What are your thoughts?

  7. I'm the same as you, with the fact I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner. It has made painting my nails fun. I hardly ever painted my nails before this came into my life and now more the most of January, you will never seen me without nail polish on. X
