It seems like very brand these days has a Micellar Water which makes me want to try every one out there to see which one is the best and how similar they are. So when I saw that La Roche-Posay had a Micellar Water* I knew I had to try it out! This micellar water is from the Effaclar range for oily and sensitive skin to clarify, cleanse and sooth the skin. Something that is great about this specific micellar water is that it is free of parabens, alcohol and colourants.
The packaging is my taste, very simple. The bottle is a 200ml size which is quite good, to get the product out you have to actually squeeze the bottle to get the water onto a cotton pad. I actually held the bottle upside down and no product came out which is excellent as that way you won't be wasting hardly any product and you can get the right amount easily.
The water itself is lovely, it has a slight scent but I can't actually put my finger on what it actually smells like but I do like the smell. The water doesn't make your skin feel stinky or leave behind a residue which is great for me as I like to use this in the morning sometimes do make sure I have actually got rid of all of the day befores make up.
This micellar water removed my make up really well and without stinging my eyes when it came to removing my mascara which is really good for me as some waters really sting my eyes so I cant use them. I wear quite a bit of eye make up so it can be really difficult to remove it some days and this removed all of my make up so well. I only needed three cotton pads to remove my whole face of make up. When I'm feeling really lazy I will only use this at night and it still makes my skin feel clean.
I think this might be beating my love for the Garnier micellar water. That's right, I said it! I actually think this micellar water is doing my skin some good as well as removing my make up, it is getting clearer and seems to be keeping the blemishes away. The only thing I actually prefer about the Garnier one to the La Roche-Posay one is the price as the Garnier one is ALOT cheaper.
La Roche-Posay is slowing becoming one of my favourite brands and every product I try I fall in love with and this one was no different. I need to try some more products from the brand so if you have any recommendations, let me know below! I would defiantly recommend this if you want to try a micellar water and you have blemish prone skin.
This micellar water retails for £12.
