Review: Maybelline Colour Elixir

When I did my swap back at the beginning of March with Rosina, I knew a couple of things I had to try that aren't available in the UK yet and ever since I heard EssieButton rave about these, I knew I had to try them. This is the Maybelline Colour Elixir in 010 Celestial Coral and I am in love with it. Totally gutted these are available in the UK yet as I want to go out and purchase every other shade!

Maybelline Colour Elixir
The main thing I love about this lip product is how it feels when you apply it, it feels so soft if that makes sense. Between the consistency of the product and the brush it just feels lovely to apply. The product itself isn't sticky and feels more like a balm than anything which I love because I hate that lipstick feeling which is actually what put me off lip products for years. The colour pay off is great and looks the same on the lips as it does in the tube and the colour stays around for a good four hours before it starts to wear off and a tiny tint is left behind but nothing to obvious. Another thing I am in love with about this product, is the scent. It is amazing, its so sweet I am obsessed with the scent and you can smell it slightly on when its on the lips but it's not too over powering or sickly.

The applicator is really nice, it slightly dips at the top so it fits your bottom lip perfectly making application even easier and because it ends on a slight point it makes it easier to get your top lip into the perfect shape. The applicator is kind of fluffy to it gets quite a lot of product on it without being gloopy.

Swatched on the lips.

I am really impressed with this lip product and really want to get my hands on some more shades, does anyone know when they get released in the UK?! I really want to get Petal Plush, Blush Essence and Hibiscus Haven. These retail for around $8 in the States. Thanks Ro for sending this to me!

Have you tried these before? What did you think?
