I have been on the hunt for a high coverage foundation for the longest time, my skin has been terrible at the moment and is the worst it has been in a few years so I needed something that was actually going to cover it up. For the purposes of this review I am actually going to include before and after pictures from using the Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation just so you can see how incredible this stuff really is!
Before and After Using the Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation in 05 Porcelain
The Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation is a high coverage foundation for use on the most sensitive and fragile skin. It also claims to give you up to 16 hours of flawless coverage while perfectly concealing your skin and leaving it without any makeup lines or cakiness. It is also hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic and fragrance free. I have the new shade, which is also the lightest one available, in 05 Porcelain which is a perfect match (for reference I am an NC15 in MAC foundations).
I honestly don't know where to start with this foundation, it might be the best foundation I have ever tried and I think the before and after pictures really speak for themselves! As I mentioned my skin has been terrible at the moment and my old concealers and foundations I was using just weren't working so this couldn't have arrived at a better time.
To apply it I either by using the Zoeva 104 Buffer or the Beauty Blender as I have found those two the best to get the most of out of this product. Once applied to the skin it really like I don't have anything on, for such a high coverage I was expecting it to feel heavy on the skin. The finish is matte but it has a slight radiance to it so it doesn't leave my skin looking flat. I don't even use concealer on my blemishes anymore, if I feel like I need a little more coverage in a particular area I just go in with another layer of this and it doesn't look cakey at all. Once applied in the morning it does not budge all day, it doesn't transfer or melt off or anything! I have been wearing this everyday since I got it and I really have fallen in love with it, I love the way it feels on the skin while completely covering all of my problem areas and leaving the skin feeling like I have nothing on. I also noticed that it slightly colour corrects my skin too, I suffer from a lot of redness and this covered it so well too. I have a few lines around my mouth and I noticed that it doesn't settle into them as long as I make sure that it is blended in well.
If you need a high coverage product to cover up blemishes or any pigmentation, you need this in for life! I cannot recommend this enough and I need to try the other products in the range as soon as possible.
