Favourite Glitter Nail Polishes

I love glitter nails pretty much all year round but especially at Christmas. If you can't wear a bit of glitter at Christmas when can you! This year I have been trying out so many new nail polishes and I have found some incredible glitter nail polishes, perfect for the festive season. I will be definitely wearing all of these polishes until the new year!

Glitter nail polish is the longest wearing nail polish there is so it is always on my nails from Christmas Eve as I know it isn't going to chip while opening presents on Christmas Day. These four polishes have been my favourites recently and I will actually buy another bottle of each of them when I run out and I don't think I have ever repurchased a nail polish so I must really love them! Any of these four polishes could be worn on there own, layered over a coloured base or worn as an accent nail.

China Glaze De-Light is a nail polish I got last year in a beauty box and it has been one of my go to gold glitter nail polishes since. What I love about this glitter is that it has longer holographic strands in with the smaller gold pieces of glitter which makes it unique to any of the other gold glitter polishes in my collection. This polish would definitely be worn on its on if you apply a few coats to get a full opaque finish.

OPI is my favourite higher end nail polish brand so of course I had to include two of my favourites. My Favourite Ornament is by far the best full intensity gold glitter there is. With this glitter there is no need for any more than two coats and you will have the prettiest gold glitter nails you ever did see. This polish does have a slightly bumpy texture to it so I like to apply a glossy top coat to get a smooth finish. The second glitter from OPI is one I got a few months ago called My Voice is a little Norse. This glitter does have a slight tint to the base colour so it does make the nails look silver when applied onto a bare nail. The glitter is very small but is buildable to a full glitter nail within three coats. I have been wearing this with so many different nail colours or as an accent nail and I have been obsessed with it.

The final glitter nail polish is actually one I have temporarily stolen from my Mum and it is the Seventeen Nail Effects Glitter Polish in Red. I don't own any red glitter polishes but this one is stunning and would look perfect with a darker green nail - so festive! I love that it has smaller and larger pieces of glitter suspended in the clear gloss. I think this would look lovely over a white nail, I must remember to try that next time I paint my nails!
