I usually love rocking the pale look but during the summer its hard not to blind people in the sun with my paleness. I have found a couple of bronzers which work brilliantly on my light skin tone and I have been obsessed with looking bronzed. I don't like to sit in the sun and cook my skin so bronzers and fake tans are my best friends.
Swatched: Hoola, Elizabeth Arden, Fusion Beauty
I have found it pretty difficult to find bronzers that aren't too dark or orange toned for my skin. I like a bronzer which is pretty light that I can build up if I want more of a tan. These three bronzers have been my go to ones for the past couple of months so if you have pale skin like I do, I would check these three out (I am an NC15 for reference). All three of these products are on the more expensive side but I find that high end brands usually have a much better colour selection and I am able to find more products that work for my skintone than I do on the high street.
Benefit Hoola had scared me for a couple of years as it lways looked too dark for me to use. But a couple of months ago I brought one of the blush palettes which had Hoola in. After a couple of months of owning the palette I finally decided to give Hoola try - and I loved it! I do have to use a light hand with it but it always warms up my skin and makes my look a little less ghost like, which adds a healthy glow to the face. Hoola is a completely matte bronzer, the only one that is matte out of these three and can even be used for contouring (I like to sometimes use this as a crease shade too). This one retails for £23.50 - HERE.
The Elizabeth Arden Sunset Bronze Primsatic Bronzer Powder is my go to for when I want a little shimmer in my bronzer. Although the shade looks like it would be a darker toned bronzer, its actually on the lighter skin. It made up of a couple of different bronzing shades and when used together it adds such a grogeous glow to the face. Even though this has shimmer in, it doesn't make you look like a disco ball or glittery at all. It actually looks more natural once applied - nobody had a completely matte tan do they? This one retails for £28 - HERE.
The newest bronzer I have added to my makeup bag is the Fusion Beauty Glow Minerals Bronzer in Luminous. These bronzers are a newer launch in the UK and are available exclusively at Space NK (I actually wrote a full post about all three shades on Reallyree.com). This is the best bronzer I have tried and I have been using it without fail everyday for the last couple of weeks. It doesn't have any shimmer or glitter in it but it has a sheen which makes you look like you have a glowing tan, I can't get enough of it! This is such a lightweight powder and applies beautifully to the face, I highly recommend these bronzers. This one is £19.50 - HERE.
