I think I might be one of the few people that doesn't actually mind washing their brushes! I like to wash mine once a week and try and spot clean when I remember but for deep cleaning my brushes, I always like to try and use a solid brush cleaner which is where this one comes in. I have been loving Nanshy brushes lately and they have just launched a solid brush cleaner that I have been loving!
One of the reasons I am so on it with cleaning my makeup brushes is because I have acne prone skin and I always notice my skin to decline if I don't wash my brushes regularly. This is the brand new Solid Brush Cleaning Soap which is 100% natural while being Vegan and cruelty-free. It can also be used on all brushes and I have found it so easy and effective to use. If you travel a lot, I always recommend a solid brush cleaner as you won't have to worry about it spilling in your bag!
This brush cleaner helps clean, disinfect while conditioning your brushes to pro-long their use and make them smell fresh! I love that this has conditioning benefits for the brushes from the Vitamin E and Coconut Milk extracts, I have noticed my brushes to be left softer than ever when compared to the previous solid brush cleaner I was using! It is free from SLS and SLES Free Glycerine and is made in the UK. When I use a solid brush cleaner, I always find that it is a much quicker process to clean my brushes and I don't waste any product or water! I can't tell you how many times when I have used a liquid brush cleaner that it has fallen off my hand before I even swirled my brushes in it.
I have been using this for my face and eye brushes and it works brilliantly, especially with my super dirty eye brushes - they look brand new! With the products I was using before to clean my brushes, they would still be left with stains from pigments but that is not the case with this. It is suitable to be used with both synthetic and natural brushes and I have to agree as both kinds of brushes are left super clean! I find it takes a little longer to remove dirt and makeup residue from my face brushes as they are on the larger side and the tin itself is small but I don't mind this as it gets my brushes so clean.
Speaking of the tin, when it arrived I was quite surprised how small it was for almost £10 but having used it a few times I do think it is good value for money as I have hardly made a dent in it so far! To use this brush cleaner, I will wet my makeup brush with warm water, making sure to avoid the brush ferrels as this can loosen the glue causing the brushes to break, and then swirl my brush into the solid cleaner and then rinse the brush under the tap. I do find that this soap has a 'soapy' scent which I don't mind but once the brushes are dry they just smell clean!
The Nanshy Vegan Brush & Sponge Cleaner retails for £9.95 - HERE.
