I think...I may have bought some makeup last month. Remember in my march haul when I said I wasn't going to buy any makeup? What a fail that was! I have been seriously spendy this last month and I am officially on a 30-day spending ban after buying so many Tarte products and more!
At the beginning of the month, around the launch of the Jeffree Star x Manny MUA collection, I placed a couple of Beauty Bay orders, Beauty Bay keeps stealing all of my money! I had been in need of a new loose powder so I ordered the RCMA No Color Powder after hearing such good things and it is worth the hype and more! It sets makeup beautifully and has a slight smoothing effect on the skin. My favourite place to use this is under the eyes as it prevents any creasing. I love concealers and while I was sorting out my makeup collection I noticed I didn't have many so I ordered the Morphe Concealer as well as the La Girl Pro Conceal. Haven't tried either enough yet to give you my full feedback.
I know Jeffree Star gets a lot of hate but I do really like his current self and he definitely knows how to make good makeup! As soon as Eclipse hit Beauty Bay, I ordered it with no regrets! The formula is a little different than my other Skin Frosts but I still am as obsessed with it as I am with my other three. I also picked up the Stila Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in Kitten Karma which is another massively hyped product at the moment. These are unreal, honestly one of the best liquid eyeshadows I have ever used and if you love a sparkly eye, you will fall in love with these! The final product I ordered from Beauty Bay was the new Mario Badescu Facial Mist which is green, I have been really enjoying this and I absolutely love the scent!
While I have been buying quite a bit of high-end beauty recently, I do love so many products from the high street, mainly mascaras. The new L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara caught my attention and I do really like it for adding volume and holding a curl but I do have to pair it with a lengthening mascara like Benefit Roller Lash. I was so excited to find out that Buxom was back on the UK market at Debenhams so as soon as they hit the website I ordered the Full-On Lip Polish in Sophia and I have been in love with it! This has such a great formula as it is non-sticky, slightly hydrating as well as being plumping on the lips. I can't wait to get my hands on a few more shades once my spending ban is over!
Then...QVC somehow managed to steal my money...I have no idea how that happened!! On Facebook, I saw that they had an upcoming TSV for Tarte and I knew I just had to get my hands on it as it was such good value. I did split the cost of everything I purchased on the easy pay option from QVC. The Tarte Maneater TSV included:
- Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation
- Buffer Foundation Brush (limited edition design)
- Maneater Eyeshadow Palette (limited edition)
- Double-Ended Eyeshadow Brush
- Maneater Self-Sharpening Eyeliner
- Maneater Voluptuous Mascara (limited edition)
- A Lip Sculptor Lipstick/Gloss
- Cosmetics Bag
All of the products were full sizes so a complete steal at around £45! And then I also ordered the Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue Trio, I had been eyeing this for months so I was so happy when I finally decided to order it! These are so hydrating on the lips and give the lips a gorgeous sheer wash of colour, the perfect handbag products! The final thing I picked up this month was the Tarte Shape Tape and Sponge Set. This is hands down one of the best concealers I have ever used and if you was on the fence about getting it, you need to try it! I haven't tried the sponge yet as I had heard mixed things so I'm a little scared to use it in case it ruins my makeup.
What did you buy this month?
