DHC Skincare Review

DHC is a Skincare brand that I have been wanting to try for the longest time. I have heard nothing but good things about the brand, especially about the Deep Cleansing Oil so I couldn't wait to try them for myself! DHC has actually just launched at Harvey Nichols making them even more accessible.

My skin tends to be much oiler in the Summer due to the weather so I am in desperate need of products to help blot away the excess oil throughout the day. I would usually use a powder but as it has been quite warm recently, I haven't wanted to have too many layers on my skin. The DHC Blotting Papers have come in so handy and are well priced at £4.50 per pack. I have been keeping these in my handbag to use throughout the day and they make touching up so quick and easy! I couldn't believe how well these worked to keep my face shine free and they don't interfere with my makeup at all. These come in a cute little box so you don't have to worry about having papers all in your handbag.

A product I didn't know I needed until I tried it is the Olive Virgin Oil Cotton Swabs. These are brilliant to fix mascara and eyeliner mishaps. I usually use a normal cotton bud but as these have natural Olive Virgin Oil within them, it makes it so much easier to correct any mistakes and they don't tug at the eyes. These are individually wrapped which I love as it makes them easier to travel with and you can keep a few in your handbag too. These are even gentle enough to use on baby's skin! These retail for £6.95, I have already packed these for my holiday in a few days because I know that they are going to come in so handy.

The one product I have been wanting to try for years is the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and it didn't disappoint! This is fantastic to dissolve and remove all traces of dirt and makeup, it even can remove waterproof mascara with ease. I have been using this with a small amount of water as it transforms it into a milky texture and makes it even easier to remove makeup with. Even though it is an oil, it doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy at all after rinsing. This is available in two different sizes from Harvey Nichols and I have the smaller version available but both versions come complete with a pump to make it easier to dispense.

The final product I have been trying out from the brand is the Lip Cream. I love a good lip balm and this is very conditioning on the lips and provides long-lasting hydrating. I have been really liking using this underneath matte lipsticks to make sure that my lips don;t get too dry throughout the wear it also makes a great base for lip products. It leaves the lips leaving soft and smooth and as this is a slightly thicker lip product, it makes it a little more long lasting than a normal lip balm.
