Maybelline Brow Tattoo Review

I feel like I am always going on about how rubbish my brows are but they really are! They are tiny and thin so I need all the help I can get. I have tried so many different brow products but never a tint as they have always seemed terrifying to me but as this one is semi-permanent, I thought it would be worth giving a try after all of the good things I had heard about it.

The Maybelline Brow Tattoo is available in three shades, I have the Dark Brown option which is actually the perfect match for my hair colour and natural brows. This is a first from Maybelline and it is an easy to peel off brow tint that lasts for up the three days depending on how long you leave it on for. This isn't a brand new type of product as it has been done in Korea but for the UK markets it is and I was so excited to see a high street brand finally bring out a product like this! Maybelline has always been my favourite brand on the high street so I am glad that they are the ones to bring this across and make it available for all.

The application is what has always scared me with brow tints as they are quite intimidating but this is very easy to apply. The first thing you need to do is make sure that your brows are clean and begin to apply the product to your desired brow shape. I started by filling in the brows in the middle first before creating a better arch and shape to my brows. If I did make any mistakes, I quickly touched it up with a cotton bud before they started to set. Depending on how long you are wanting the results to last will depend on how long you leave it on for but it needs to be left on the brows for at least 20 minutes before you peel it off.

I wanted to really put this to the test so I left it on for about two hours and I was incredibly impressed! It was super easy to peel off and came off in one piece to reveal naturally tinted looking brows and it didn't pull out any of my brow hairs. That was one thing I was really worried about as I already have minimal brow hairs as it is! I do like my brows to look quite bold but this is the perfect in-between of looking natural and being intense which I was so happy about! It doesn't feel dry, uncomfortable or tight while it's on either which I was actually expecting it too. The first time I applied it I did find it a tiny bit messy as I wasn't used to it just yet but as the brush applicator is on the smaller side, you can be quite precise with it. I do wish it had an angled brush as that would make it even easier!

I love how my brows look freshly tinted so I will start doing them in the morning when I have time as they look perfect on the first day. The tint does last a good few days, I found that it actually lasts longer than three days, more like five days on me! For the first day I didn't have to fill my brows in at all as they looked perfect but by the second and third day all I needed was a little bit of a brow pencil and I was good to go. It usually takes me at least ten minutes to do my brows in the morning so this is a great time-saving product! As it begins to fade I did notice that it does have warm undertones which is something to keep in mind, I personally liked how it looked and found a bit of tinted brow gel would usually correct it.

The Maybelline Brow Tattoo retails for £12.99 at Superdrug - HERE.
