I have been a big Vichy fan for a while now, the Sleep Balm is one of my favourite skincare products as is the Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation. I have acne prone skin which leaves me with a lot of discolouration, scarring and texture and these two products have been my best friends recently! I forgot how much I loved this foundation.
A few years ago, I was obsessed with the Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation and I even reviewed it but I have been trying to use up some of my other foundations before they expire so I had forgotten just how good this stuff is until I got a new tube. This foundation has incredible coverage with a slightly whipped formula, I find it best to apply with a buffing brush to get even coverage. Even though it is so high coverage, it doesn't look or feel heavy on the skin and has a lovely natural finish. This blends out really easily and is ideal for oily skin has it is so long-lasting. This can last all day and night long, it lasts so much better than many of my other foundations!
As I mentioned at the beginning my acne is a real struggle of mine when it comes to skin. I have phases of getting it under control and then it will kick back up again and it's just starting to calm down again but it has left behind a lot of texture and bumps. I mainly suffer from cystic acne which does leave my skin bumpy and this foundation is one of the only ones that actually blurs the bumps and makes my skin look smooth! It doesn't draw any attention to these areas and leaves my skin looking clear all day long. It also doesn't sink into any lines or my pores either, it really is a winning foundation in my collection!
One product I hadn't tried before is the Dermablend Setting Powder. Ths first time I used this I was so impressed and I knew it was going to quickly become a favourite of mine at it has! This is a lightweight translucent powder that reinforces the hold of foundation and provides a smudge and water-resistant finish. This has a micro-fine texture and it has a very smoothing effect on the skin. It doesn't look at all powdery on the skin and provides a natural matte finish. My foundation always seems to settle into the lines around my nose and my smile lines no matter what powder I would use..until I tried this! I looked in the mirror after about ten hours of applying my makeup at it hadn't settled at all! It still looked as if I had just applied it and while some powders have similar effects, they don't make my makeup last quite as long as this one does. I am in love.
