Christmas Party Beauty Essentials

The festive season is here and I couldn't be any more excited about it if I tried! With it being Christmas time, its all about being a bit more socialable and seeing as many of your friends and family as possible so I like to try and always look my best. If I have any parties to go to in the next couple of weeks, these are the products I will definitely be using to look and feel good!

I have been prepping for the festive season for a few weeks now and one of the main things I have been doing is whitening my teeth. I few months ago I started using the SmileLab Flash Advanced Whitening Strips (£32) and I do really like them, if you have super sensitive teeth I personally wouldn't recommend them though. You only need to use these for 15 minutes per session and they aren't too uncomfortable and they do make a difference! I have been drinking a lot of coffee this year so getting my teeth back to as white as they were has been a bit of a quest for me! Another prepping product I love is the Skinny Tan Instant Tanner in Dark (£9.99). I am a very pale skinned person which I don't mind but in photo's it can look a bit blinding sometimes. This is so easy to apply, I like to use it on my legs mainly and apply it with a mitt the same way I would with a fake tan. This is perfect for a quick tanning fix and washes off with soapy water! It adds such a gorgeous sheen and glow to the skin and gives my skin a healthy colour.

My skin has always been quite dull because of my acne and discolouration and I love to use the GlamGlow GravityMud Mask (£37.80) if I know I am going to be out and about the next day! This mask is a fun metallic blue colour and once you peel it off the skin it is always left looking much brighter and feeling super soft! I love painting my nails but they are in quite a bad condition at the moment and a lot of them had broken off so I was in serious need of some fake/press-ons for the holiday season which is where the KISS Nails come in! These nails are so comfortable to wear and so quick to apply! They have so many different colours and designs available but my two favourites are from the imPRESS line in Power Up and Swept Away, both are available from Superdrug for £5.32 each - HERE.

When it comes to my makeup at Christmas, I always have to add glitter! If you can't rock a bit of glitter at Christmas, when can you?! I love the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow in Kitten Karma (£23) to add some sparkle to my eyes. These are so impressive and if you love full on sparkly eyes, you will love these! I want to get another shade and one of the new metallic ones once they are out in the UK as I love this one so much. This shade is perfect with some warm matte shades in the crease with some winged liner and a few coats of mascara! I'm not usually a red lip kind of girl but at Christmas I do find myself wanting to wear one and the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in 20 Pioneer (£9.99) pairs well with my skintone. I recently did a full review on these and I raved about them which you can check out here. If I'm not feeling like a bold red lip I will go for the Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte (£180 in 205 which is a mauvy pink. These have a really great formula too and are super comfortable to wear.

I don't have a very full top lip, it's also a little bit wonky so when I wear bolder lip colours it really bothers me. I always use my PMD Kiss (£139) in the mornings most days, I adore this device! This plumps my lips so well and doesn't feel uncomfortable or hurt at all while I use it and it makes such a big difference. To keep my lips looking plump for the rest of the day I have been using the Make Up For Ever Lip Booster (£18) over the top of any lip colours (I do like to wear it alone too). This is very smoothing on the lips and I have even noticed it to hydrate the lips too! It doesn't feel uncomfortable on the lips either like some plumping products can do.
