When I was around 15, Cleanse and Polish pretty much changed my life, not to be dramatic or anything. It transformed my skin and nine years later I am still as obsessed with it as I was then. I had realised that I hadn't really mentioned Liz Earle on the blog despite being such a massive fan so I thought I would share my top three skincare products.
Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is a skin care cult classic and if you haven't tried this before, I highly recommend that you do. It's available in different size options and scents, I personally prefer the original. This is a creamy cleanser that removes makeup and dirt like no other product that I have ever used. It's so gentle on my skin yet incredibly effective. It can remove any makeup I ever wear, even heavy, full coverage bases and more layers of mascara than I can count! What I really love about this product that it doesn't irritate my eyes as they can be a little sensitive sometimes. To remove the cleanser, you use a wet muslin cloth and this helps to gently exfoliate the skin and will have your skin looking clear and brighter while feeling smoother.
The Instant Boost Skin Tonic is a product I used to use constantly years ago but since starting my blog and always trying out new skincare, I had completely forgotten about it. Last month I picked up a new bottle and I fell in love with it all over again. This is available in a standard bottle so you can apply it with a cotton pad but I always buy the spritz, mainly because I'm a little lazy and it saves me the extra step when I apply it in the mornings. This is a refreshing, soothing and brightening toner that I use as part of my morning skincare routine. This adds some extra hydration into my skin and is very uplifting and refreshing which is why I like to use it in the mornings so much as it perks up my skin slightly. It has a lovely scent and I couldn't be without it.
A couple of times a week during the winter especially, I like to use the Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask. This is an all-over face treatment that you leave on for 10-15 minutes after cleansing. It's suitable for all skin types that leaves parched, stressed and dry skin feeling hydrating and soothed after each application. During the last couple of months, my skin has been much drier than usual as I have been spending much more time outside than I used to which has negatively affected my skin. But this mask has been keeping my skin well hydrated and soothed. After each use, my skin feels so much better and it has been looking a little healthier too. This has become my go-to mask for whenever I need a hydration boost.
