Makeup Actually Worth the Hype

I try not to give into the hype around beauty products straight away, I wait for some of my favourite bloggers and YouTubers to do reviews before I buy most things. But sometimes, I find myself giving into the hype and just blindly buying products but luckily I am not often disappointed with my purchases. These are the products that are definitely worth the hype and ones I will definitely be repurchasing when the time comes.

One of the most hyped products online has got to be the Too Faced Sweet Peach products, they were everywhere last year! While I picked up one of the glosses and the face palette as soon as they launched in the UK, I still love and use them, I waited until last month to finally pick up the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette. I don't know why I waited so long to get this as it has already become a staple in my makeup bag! This is packed full of peachy eyeshadows and I was surprised at how much I have been using this as well as how good the quality is. I love really love Too Faced products so I did have high hopes for it! Another eyeshadow palette that has been massively hyped and raved about is the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette. As soon as this popped up on Instagram, everyone seemed to go mad over it before they even tried it out! I have been using it ever since the UK launch and I do really like it, it's a fantastic warm eyeshadow palette and if you love these types of shades, you will fall in love with this palette.

The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is a cult classic product, everyone seems to use it and love it and I have to agree! It is honestly one of the best liquid eyeliner pens I have ever used (it's in my top three) and the only downside to it is that it does dry out a little quicker than any of the other pen eyeliners I have tried. I love the brush tip applicator as it makes it so much easier to get a precise point and the eyeliner itself is intensely black. When I first discovered highlighters, the one everyone was raving about at the time was theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and even today it's one of my favourites. I have bought a couple of these as gifts and everyone I know seems to love it as much as I do! This is a very glowy powder but it doesn't look powdery on the skin or draw any attention to texture or pores. For concealer, Tarte Shape Tape really is the best of the best. I have had mine since April last year and I'm only just coming to finish it so it is worth the investment. This is a full coverage concealer that doesn't look at all heavy or cakey on the skin. I can't wait to try out one of the foundations soon.

I am very fussy when it comes to lip products and a lot of the time I will keep it very simple with a balm or a gloss but everyone seemed to rave about the Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks so of course, I had to see what all the fuss was about! I picked up The Duchess shade that is one of the new limited edition shades and I fell in love. I don't usually like lipsticks but this one is so comfortable and creamy to wear that I ended up ordering Liv It Up not long after! These are the best lipsticks and I can see this becoming an expensive favourite! Another lip product I had heard nothing but good things about online was the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. This is honestly one of the best lip glosses I have ever used and I hope they launch a few more shades soon!

One brand gets a tonne of hype online is Glossier and when they launched in the UK last October, I fell in. I have spent far too much money than I should admit on their products and I honestly can't get enough! I have not found a Glossier product that I don't like yet. Solution completely transformed my skin and I can't believe how well it worked for me and products like Boy Brow and the Milky Jelly Cleanser really are incredible. I could go on and on about Glossier but I have individual reviews up on all the products I have so far if you do want to read more! If you haven't tried Glossier yet, you can get 10% off your first order when you shop through this link - http://bff.glossier.com/hEtCI

As far as I am aware, all of these products aren't tested on animals (although some of their parent companies do so it will come down to personal preferences on that). The last hyped item I want to talk about is a beauty tool that I absolutely swear by and the hype is real with this. The beautyblender original is by far one of the best things in beauty ever invented, I'm on my third one and I will never stop repurchasing it! It applies any foundations and concealers flawlessly and I love that it makes the products feel so lightweight on the skin. If you haven't tried it yet, order one now - you'll thank me later!
