Real Techniques Brush Crush Collection

Last year I wrote about this brush collection and I was so excited about the launch but for whatever reason, it's taken me until now to actually get my hands on a few! After I received one for my birthday and I fell in love and I knew I needed to get a couple more and I'm so glad I did. I can definitely see myself picking up the rest soon too...

These three brushes are from the new limited edition Brush Crush collection that is available exclusively at Superdrug in the UK. This collection has been engineered for performance but designed to be instagrammable and they are absolutely gorgeous! There are seven products in the line at Superdrug but the Real Techniques website does have a couple of gift sets as well as another brush which I really want to get my hands on! I have always loved Real Techniques brushes so I thought I would really like these regardless of the way they are presented but they have quickly become some of my favourite brushes that I use.

These brushes have handles similar to the Bold Metals collection but actually feel higher quality and are much more affordable than that collection. Each of the brushes comes with a super sparkly effect hande that is either pink or purple depending on the brush that you go for. The glitter is actually in the handle rather than being a coating so you aren't going to get glittery hands every time you use them and it's not going anywhere! The handles have a smooth glossy finish to them and they are very easy to hold and are pretty lightweight. Each of the brush heads comes with an ombre colour theme and I do really love how these brushes look! Even though a lot of thought has gone into the presentation of these brushes, they haven't skimped on quality or how well they actually work! These brushes might be some of the best Real Techniques brushes I have in my collection!

I have been using the 300 Powder Brush every single day to apply powder to set my foundation and concealer. This brush has been designed to give you the perfect even powder application and it does just that. It applies powder lightly yet flawless to the skin and as the brush itself is quite flexible I find it applies product sheerer and quicker too. The 302 Blush Brush has been what I use to apply my blush to the cheeks every day for a pop of colour. It's much smaller than the blush brush from the core line and is quite similar to the Bold Metals Tapered Blush Brush. It applies blushes seamlessly to the cheeks and as it is smaller than what I had been using I can be more precise when I apply my blushes. The final and third brush I have from the collection is the 305 Shadow Brush. This is a soft tapered brush that makes blending shadows an absolute dream! I have been loving this to apply shadows to the crease, especially transition shades as it blends them with such little effort. I already know I want to get another one of these so I don't have to worry if I use it with darker shadows.

All three of these brushes are some of the softest brushes I have ever used and I hope they come out with more in the line soon. All three of the brushes have quite flexible brush heads which I find works so well with powder products as it makes blending them much easier. The brushes range in price between £9.99 and £12.99 and they are currently on a buy one get one half price offer at Superdrug which makes them even more affordable. I do think more Brush Crush brushes are coming as they do say these are 'Volume One' so fingers crossed!
