Two Umberto Giannini Favourites

Hair care is one of my favourite types of beauty product to try out as they can make such a big difference. Umberto Giannini is a brand that I used years ago and was so excited to try out again in the last month. I wasn't expecting to like these two products as much as I do and they have become products that I use most days and actually look forward to using.

The first is the Shower in a Bottle Magic Foam Volume Cleanser (£7). I usually hate dry shampoo types of products because I have almost black hair and it can be difficult to find one that doesn't leave behind a white cast. Not to mention that a lot of the ones I had previously tried just made my hair feel uncomfortable, full of residue and dry. So when I got this and saw it was a foam based product I was really interested to see how it would work for me and I have been so incredibly impressed!

After you have shaken the bottle you apply around ping pong ball size of foam to your hands and then scrunch into the roots until it has disappeared. I have quite thick hair so I did find that I used a lot more than this but I love the results. It doesn't make your hair wet like I thought it might but it leaves the hair feeling freshly washed! It has rice starch to absorb excess oils, hydrolysed wheat protein to spread across the hair to create a protective film to add strength and shine as well as conditioning actives to leave the hair feeling soft, fresh and nourished. This actually makes your hair feel like you've washed it (it would definitely be a must-have for festival season) but it leaves the hair feeling super soft. And even though I do have black hair it leaves behind absolutely no white cast!

The second product I have been trying out is the No Wash Conditioner Softening Dry Oil Mist (£7). I love dry oil mists as I have slightly dry mids-ends so anything that can add further hydration I am all about. I have been using this on dry hair after I have styled it and it is perfection to instantly soften the hair and add shine. It's enriched with natural oils such as Sweet Almond, Argan and Pomegranate seed and has a floral scent. It's one of the best dry oil mists I have used because it doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky. My hair has never felt as soft since I started using this and I love that it doesn't weigh the hair down as I already have pretty long, thick and heavy hair.

Both of these products are cruelty-free and vegan. Umberto Giannini is available at Boots - HERE
