I have been really enjoying L'Occitane products in the last couple of months but I hadn't tried any of their skincare until recently. They just launched the Aqua Réotier collection which is perfect for all your hydrating needs and I have to say, I have been very impressed!
The Aqua Réotier collection has been designed for ultimate hydration with products that are perfect for thirst quenching skin. I have been testing out two of the products for about a month now and my skin has never been so hydrated! There are five products in the collection from moisturisers to mists, I have my eyes on the mist as it sounds lovely. I have been testing out one of the moisturisers as well as an essence and that's a product I have never tried anything like before. I had heard some good things about skincare essences so I was really excited to put it to the test.
The Aqua Réotier Moisture Prep Essence (£22) is a pre-moisturiser with calcium-rich Réotier water to give the skin it's first layer of moisture and to help reinforce the hydrating properties of your skincare routine. I have been using this as part of my evening skincare routine by sweeping it across the face using a cotton pad and it sinks in so quickly so you can go ahead and apply your next product. You can also apply it using light tapping motions but I have found a cotton pad works best for my skin. I have been really enjoying this and I have definitely noticed my skin to be much more hydrated since I have been using it. I don't find it to be at all sticky on the skin either. It's enriched with hyaluronic acid that is known for its hydrating properties - my skin loves this stuff!
The second product I have been testing out is one of the two moisturisers which is the Aqua Réotier Ultra-Thirst Quenching Cream (£28). This is a fresh and comforting face cream that aims to instantly recharge the skin with water to leave it replenished, radiant and plumped. This can be used both morning and evening and I do like it used both ways as it isn't heavy on the skin and sinks in quickly. This does have a fragrance so this is something to keep in mind if you don't or can't use fragranced skincare products. I have been really liking this so far and the fact that it has a slight cooling effect on the skin - perfect for the summer months! It's been keeping my skin well hydrated and it definitely has a slight radiance to it on the skin which I am obsessed with.
