I get up for work every weekday at 5am so I'm always reaching for products that are one swipe and you're done just so I can have those extra few minutes in bed! These three products are extremely similar and I just can't get enough of them. These are all I have been using during the week for months now and I don't talk about them as much as should.
Swatched from top to bottom: Glossier Lidstar in Cub, Pixi Fairy Light in Rose Gold & Stila Magnificent Melts Glitter & Glow in Kitten Karma.
I love liquid based eyeshadows, they are so quick and easy to use and they always look as if you've spent ages doing your eye makeup! For everyday makeup and nothing too fancy I like to use the Glossier Lidstars, my favourite shade is Cub which is a gorgeous rose gold but I also have Slip which is a baby pink. When I first used these I wasn't sure if I loved them or not but I do really rate them! They are a sheer wash of colour on the eyes once blended but you can build up the intensity if you want too. They have some shimmer running through them so they are very glowy on the eyes. They don't crease at all throughout the day or fade once applied.
The Pixi Fairy Lights and the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glows are extremely similar and if you have been wanting the Stila versions but aren't quite ready to splash the cash for them then the Pixi ones are great! But if you are after a more intense sparkle then the Stila ones are for you. The Stila ones have slightly chunkier glitter in them compared to the Pixi Fairy Lights and the glitter in the Stila glitters can sometimes fall onto the cheeks after a few hours of wear. The Pixi liquid glitter has a slightly more pigmented base colour than the Stila one from my experience. Both of them look stunning on the eyes have an illuminating and brightening effect that I am obsessed with.
The best way I have found to apply them is to either use my fingers for the Real Techniques Medium Shadow Brush. This brush makes it even quicker to blend them out and you can easily get a seamless blend from the lids to through the crease.
