YSL All Hours Foundation Review

I hadn't worn foundation in a long time. For the last few months I have only been wearing the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream but I wanted to try something different. My skin has been horrendous lately so I knew I wanted a product will high coverage and this has been the perfect purchase.

The YSL All Hours Foundation is available in around 30 shades, I wear the shade BD20. This is said to be a flawless matte foundation with full coverage yet blendable texture that will last for up to 24 hours. It has a waterproof and transfer-resistant formula so you never have to compromise on comfort or feel the need to touch up throughout the day. It's enriched with a skincare complex and UV filter (SPF 20) to leave the feeling looking fresh and smooth. It's suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

I have been testing out this foundation for a few weeks now and I do really like it! I have been using a damp beautyblender to apply it and I can easily achieve high coverage with this, I like to use a pump and a bit for my whole face. One thing I have noticed when applying this is that it does dry quickly so you do have to act quickly when applying it. This foundation is oil-free and has a matte finish and it's one of the only foundations I have tried that I don't need to set with powder. It is so incredibly long-lasting all on its own, I rarely have to touch up throughout the day. I can apply this at 6am and at 11pm it's still going strong! I haven't been using a primer lately and this foundation doesn't draw any attention to my pores, it can easily cover my acne too.

It's extremely lightweight on the skin and if you have oily skin you will love this product. If you have dry skin I would be a little careful with this because it is so matte, I'd recommend using a hydrating primer first. Even though it is a very matte foundation, it isn't drying on the skin. My skin has been pretty bad lately and this definitely helps even out my skin tone while covering all of my acne and discolouration. One bonus about this product is that is has a really lovely scent!
