Autumn Makeup Staples

I love this time of year for makeup and this year I have been wearing different makeup than I usually would at the time. I used to always be about the berry lips but this year I have been loving much simpler and natural makeup. I used to hate glowy makeup products outside of highlight but now I can't get enough!

The foundation I have been wearing the most lately has been the YSL All Hours Foundation (review here). It has incredible coverage and as my skin has been horrendous lately due to my acne, I have been in need of this coverage! It doesn't look heavy or cakey on the skin but it is on the drier side so I don't need to set it with powder. I find it best to apply this with a damp beauty blender rather than a brush as it looks more even and flawless this way. It's extremely long wearing too and I never have to worry about touching up throughout the day. It is pretty expensive at around £35 but if you have been wanting to treat yourself, this is a really great product.

The products I have been using on my cheeks have been making such a massive difference to the way my makeup looks, I couldn't work out why my makeup was looking so much healthier and full of glow, then I realized it was down to the blush I switched to at the beginning of the month. The NARS Hot Sand Blush is part of my NARS blush palette I have been consistency using for a year or so now but I never took much interest in it until recently. It doesn't add much colour to the cheeks, it adds some peachy warmth to the cheeks but it adds a tonne of glow! I have never used a blush like this one before and I would definitely purchase this individually. To highlight the cheekbones I have been loving the Jeffree Star Peach Goddess Skin Frost again and it looks stunning paired with Hot Sand.  These highlighters are so intense, I own a few of them and this shade works so well with my skin tone.

The two lip products I haven't been able to get enough of lately are the Charlotte Tilbury The Duchess Lipstick and the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. They work well together or alone and these are both always in my handbag. The Duchess is one of the only natural lipstick shades that I actually like and the formulation is one of the best. The same can be said for the formulation of the Fenty gloss as it's incredible! It isn't sticky or drying on the lips and it adds so much shine, they came out with a new shade earlier this month that I am desperate to get my hands on.
