Yankee Candle Icy Blue Spruce Candle Review

If you know me or follow me on Twitter, you'll know I'm obsessed with Christmas. As soon as September comes around I'm thinking about Christmas and burning festive scents. This is one of the brand new festive scents from Yankee Candle and I can't get enough of it.
Yankee Candle Icy Blue Spruce Candle Review
Every year Yankee Candle releases four new festive scents in a range of sizes and product types. I always pick up the wax melts as I have a Christmassy electric warmer but I adore the large jars. The four festive scents this year are Winter Wonder, Glittering Star, Frosty Gingerbread and the one I am talking about today, Icy Blue Spruce. There will also be four Christmas scents for the Elevation range, Frosted Fir, Amaretto Apple, Holiday Pomegranate and Sweet Frosting.

Icy Blue Spruce is completely different than what I was expecting it to be but in the best way. This is definitely more of a winter fragrance rather than a strictly Christmassy one so you can use it for longer than just the festive period! I would describe the scent as a fresh winter's berry scent and it has notes of fresh winter's forest, juniper berries, blue spruce, and spearmint leaves. You can definitely pick up on the spearmint leaf notes with the juniper berries and it adds such a frosty freshness to the fragrance that's reminiscent of cold winter mornings. If you love fruity scents and have been looking for the perfect one for Autumn/Winter, this is it!

With the large jar candles, you get between 110 and 150 hours of burn time which is fantastic value for money. When you burn your Yankee Candle for the first time you want to make sure that you get the wax to melt completely around the edges so that each time after that burn that you get the most out of your candle. This candle doesn't have a super strong scent throw but it is strong enough that it does fill a room beautifully. You can easily smell this while you're in the room it's burning in and the scent lingers out into the rest of the house which is always a bonus. I have been burning this for well over 24 hours in total so far and I have hardly made a dent in it!
