Lifestyle Favourites #1

While my blog is mainly beauty related, I thought this year I would add some more lifestyle posts too. I already started last year adding the odd wrestling post but I thought a great way to start adding some lifestyle posts would be with a favourites post! These are the non-beauty items that I have been loving in the last month or so.

I have been obsessed with reading again so far this year, as of writing this post I have already finished 15 books! But the best book I have read so far is Becoming by Michelle Obama. This book has rave reviews for all the right reasons and it is such an incredible read. I loved learning more about Michelle (and Barack) and there are even a few snippets featuring The Queen! If you like the Obama's, you'll love this book. There aren't many mentions of Trump which I was actually pretty happy about.

Besides beauty products, The Happy Planner is something I really do love, I have shared a few posts featuring it. This planner keeps me really organised and I have been trying to eat a little healthier so I picked up the Healthy Hero Meal Planning Inserts. They're the perfect size to keep track of my meals that I eat each day and on the flip side is a shopping list page so I can write down anything I run out of throughout the week.

Since taking my blog break in December, I have found it quite difficult to get back into the swing of things and these next two things have been incredibly helpful! I'm obsessed with Rae Dunn and always get so excited when I spot something new in TK Maxx or Homesense so when I spotted planners and notebooks, I had to have them. The 12 Month Planner was reduced to £2 so I couldn't pass it up. It's a monthly planner so it's great to plan out blog posts in advance. The notebooks are what I have been using to plan out posts in more detail and any ideas that I have because I have the memory of a goldfish.

If you struggle with concentrating and get distracted easily, you need to ge the Miracle Timer App - it's incredible! I have found it to be so helpful when I need to be productive, espically when writing blog posts. You set yourself small timers, I usually do 15 minutes and every 15 minutes it will get you to take a 5 minute break and I have never got so much done in such a short period of time.

The final thing I have to share is an album. I have been a fan of Tyler Hilton ever since One Tree Hill and his new album, City on Fire, popped up on Spotify recommended and I haven't been able to listen to anything else. If you watched OTH, Kate Voegele was also on the show and they have a track together on this album and I adore it. My favourite songs from the album are The Way That She Loves, I Don't Wanna Be Scared, When I See You, I See Home and When the Night Moves.
