Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector Review

Bold lip colours have never been my thing. I have never been a huge fan of my lips and with them being a little uneven I find that bolder lip colours will always draw attention to it. So tinted lip balms and products that will provide sheer coverage are always my go-to and these are two new favourites.

Swatched: Shade 10 (bottom) and Shade 12 (top)

I got my first Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfect back in January and quickly came to adore the product. So much so that I ended up repurchasing that first shade, which was Juicy Mandarin, and two others as part of a gift set. These lip products are available in quite a few shades but I don't want to go into too much detail with the shades that I have as I think they have been discontinued. If you wanted to get the set that I did, it's still available on the Studio website - HERE.

These are a soft textured lip gel with an insanely good scent! They smell good enough to eat and are perfectly sweet without being sicky. You can wear these alone as they have just enough pigment for a sheer, brightening wash of colour for the lips or you can wear them with a complimenting shade. The applicator is angled, flocked and a perfect size to fit my lips without going outside of my lip line. The product comes out in the middle of the applicator when you squeeze it and I find that this works great to distribute the product evenly.

I love the effect and feel that these have on the lips. They are hydrating enough for daily wear and leave the lips with a hint of shine without looking or feeling sticky. They also make the lips look a little pumper which I am always thankful for! The two shades I have to share today are perfect for Spring/Summer. The shade 10 is a light pink with a hint of peach which I would say is my lips but better and 12 is a brighter pink with red tones to it. They aren't the most long-wearing lip products I have used but I like to reapply them after a couple of colours as they do keep my lips feeling soft.

The Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfectors retail for £18.50 each - HERE.
