Recent Reads #4

It's been a few months since I did my last recent reads post, as inspired by Hailey in Bookland, so I thought it was time for another! I have shared a few book reviews in between but these are books that I won't be individually reviewing as they are back-listed or not released just yet.
It's Not Christmas Without You - Beth Reekles

Yes, I did read a Christmas book in the middle of summer and I loved it! Beth wrote The Kissing Booth and I was so excited to read her first Christmas book. I couldn't put this book down, I read it in one sitting and I will definitely be rereading it closer to December. I got an arc via Netgalley and I've preordered a copy! Life Will Be the Death of Me... And You Too - Chelsea Handler

I have been a big Chelsea Handler fan since my teens and I had read a few of her other books. I got a free trial of Scribd and I was so excited to see this was available as an audiobook and I can't recommend it enough! The book is read by Chelsea herself and you can feel every emotion directly from her, it really upgraded the reading experience. If you like Chelsea, you need to read this book - I rated it five stars!

Winnie the Pooh - A.A Milne

I took part in my first readathon at the end of July and one of the challenges was to read a book with a non-human main character. As I'm not a big fan of fantasy anymore, I struggled until I came across Winnie the Pooh. I had loved the characters as a kid so I was intrigued to listen to the audiobook. I was in shock, and I still am if I'm honest that Christoper Robin accidentally shoots Pooh in the first chapter!

Until Friday Night - Abbi Glines

I always read YA in the summertime and I decided to give this a reread, I gave it the same rating as the first time that I read it which was four stars. This book is quite heartbreaking to read but I did really enjoy it. When I read it for the first time years ago, I balled my eyes out. I can even remember where I was when I read it and I have the absolute worst memory! A new book in the series has just been released and I can't wait to read it.

Along for the Ride - Sarah Dessen

Another YA book I read was this gem. I read this for The Reading Rush and I did enjoy it. It was my first Sarah Dessen book and I wish I had found this author in my teens as I think I would have loved them! This has a little bit of romance in, a family-related plot and I loved the friendships the main character made.
