I love a good palette and these two are fantastic and rival some of my higher end palettes! I can't believe just how affordable they are! I have tried so many products from Essence over the last couple of years and I haven't found many products that I don't like so far, I really rate this brand.

Both of these palettes are from the new Crystal Power collection and retail for £5.99 each. Both of these palettes are brilliant and I can't recommend them enough! Essence is a cruelty-free brand and the Blush & Highlight Palette is also vegan which is amazing! The packaging of these palettes is made up of durable cardboard with a mirror inside for on-the-go applications.

The Blush & Highlight Palette includes four shades, two highlighters and two blushes. I personally wouldn't use the blush shades on my cheeks as my skin tone is quite light and I like matte blushes but they make stunning eyeshadows. The shade Glowing Energy with its golden hue is stunning on the cheekbones, I can't get enough of it! Shine Bright is more of a sparkly overlay on the skin but you can build up the intensity. It reminds me of the Ice Cold Skin Frost from JSC! I have also been mixing both of these together and I love how they look.

The Crystal Power Eyeshadow Palette has become a daily staple! This palette consists of nine eyeshadows, 8 shimmers/metallic shades and one matte shade. I really like that they decided to include a matte shade as it's great for the crease. You get a mixture of neutral and fun shades in this palette and I loved using shades, Reach for the Stars and Good Vibes Only on the lower lash line. When I apply the eyeshadows, I use a mixture of a slightly fluffier brush and my ring finger to apply them to the lid and into the crease. I achieve good colour pay off applying them like this. My favourite shade in the palette is Chase Your Dreams, I can't stop wearing it!

The texture of the powders in this palette is insane! They are like butter to the touch and apply like a dream on the cheekbones and eyes. The eyeshadow palette shades do have a slight kickback when you dip your brush into the pans but I don't get much fall out on the face as I apply them to the eyes so I don't mind this much.
