I am a huge fan of Jeffree Star Cosmetics, the highlighters and glosses are some of my all-time favourites and I finally ordered the concealer a few weeks ago as I had heard some really great things. I have exclusively been using Shape Tape for years now and it's rare I love a concealer as much as I love that one.
The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Magic Star Concealer retails for £21 and do not pay more than that on Beauty Bay. They love to increase the price when they do big launches, when Blood Lust launched they increased the price to £24, so keep that in mind before ordering. Speaking of the price, for £21 you get 3.4ml and for Tarte Shape Tape you get 10ml for £20-23 depending on the retailer. This concealer is said to be full-coverage and is available in 30 shades to match every skin tone as well as a few colour correctors.
You can use this concealer under the eyes, on blemishes and discolouration and where ever you like to conceal. I have been trying it on all of the above and I have some thoughts! It's said to have a lightweight, blendable formula with a natural satin-matte finish (I love the finish). It contains anti-ageing properties and will glide onto the skin. The packaging is so extra and I love it. The applicator fits perfectly under the eyes due to its shape which I love.
This concealer does have great coverage and it doesn't look heavy or cakey on the skin. It's brilliant on blemishes and discolouration, it makes them disappear but under the eyes, I don't love it. It doesn't crease but it just doesn't compare to my Shape Tape if I'm honest. It doesn't have the coverage I like for under the eyes like Shape Tape does. I also noticed when I use this under the eyes that my mascara transfers onto my skin. But on spots and discolouration, it's fantastic and it's easy to blend and has a long-wearing formula.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand.
