I really like doing my nails but I am quite lazy and sometimes will go weeks before I do them again. But seeing as I have so much time on my hands at the moment, I have been doing my nails every couple of days and I thought I would share the spring shades I have been choosing from.
With each season, I will pick out about 10 shades from my stash and almost always stick to those. Occasionally I will paint my nails a dark shade if the mood strikes but for springtime, I love pastels, nudes and bright whites with the occasional pop of colour. And since last summer I haven't worn just one polish, I love to mix and matching shades with a different colour on every nail or one hand one shade and the other a different shade.
White and cream polish are my favourites to wear during spring and summer. It can be difficult to find a good white polish that isn't streaky and the best one I have ever used is the Lancome Cafe Blanc which I know isn't available anymore but if you have this in the back of the drawer, pull it out immediately! The cream polish I use is from Formula X which I know you can't get anymore either but Barry M have some great cream and white shades for around £3.99 each and they are cruelty-free. For a nude shade, the OPI Infinite Shine 2 Polish in Don't Bossa Me Around is the perfect match.
Blue is my favourite colour so I love finding the best blue shades for each season. The OPI Infinite Shine 2 Polish in It's a Boy is the perfect baby blue shade. This formula of polish is extremely long-wearing without base or topcoat too. For a periwinkle blue, my go-to shade is Kanpai OPI from the OPI Toyko 2019 spring collection, this is still one of my most used nail polish collections. Along with blue, pink is a shade a wear a lot on my nails and for a baby pink shade, I adore the Nails Inc Fashion Fix Vintage Tee polish, you only need two coats which is impressive! For a pink pop of colour that is brighter, I love to wear OPI Another Ramen-tic Evening.
