Recent Reads #14: I'm Back

I think I might be finally back reading like I used to at the beginning of the year! I have a couple of books to share today and will make you feel like you are on a tropical vacation while we are all in our houses waiting for the lockdown restrictions to be lifted.
Island Affair by Priscilla Oliveras

I use the BorrowBox app a lot for reading, it's a free app available through a lot of UK libraries and I spotted this on the new in section and the cover had me checking it out right away! This book involves some fake dating in Key West and I really liked it. There is a lot more depth to this book than I thought it would have going into it but I really felt for the characters. Sara is a social media influencer and her boyfriend just ditched her when she lands at the airport in Florida for a family vacation and she cannot show up without a boyfriend. She runs into Luis who is in need os shaking his life up and agrees to be her fake boyfriend for the week.

Lovewrecked by Karina Halle

I spotted this on Kindle Unlimited and was sucked right in. The main character Daisy is having some bad luck, she lost her job and then finds her boyfriend cheating on her right before she flies to New Zealand for her sister's wedding. Daisy ends up meeting the best man and they both end up going on her sister's honeymoon trip on a sailboat to Fiji. And they end up shipwrecked on a deserted island. I really enjoyed this and I really liked and felt for Daisy. I'm not going to say much else this was such a good romance and it had some seriously funny moments.

By a Thread by Lucy Score

I have read a couple of Lucy's books and this is the first one I have given five stars! I loved this book so much and it features a lot of my favourite things. Dominic and Ally have a hilarious and hateful first encounter and then his mum ends up hiring her to work for her company (which Dominic is in charge of) as he got her fired. He is such a grumpy character and Ally has so much going on in her personal life which he is trying to work out. I highly recommend this one if you have Kindle Unlimited!
