My Review

Oh how I loved this beast of a book. It is so big that my wrists and hands actually hurt while reading it. This is Twilight completely written from Edward's perspective and I have to say, it was worth the wait. I think if this book had come out years ago I wouldn't have loved or appreciated it as much as I do.

There were so many things I loved about this book and I honestly think Twilight should have been written from Edward's perspective in the first place was Bella was so incredibly annoying. This book made me love Edward even more than my teenage self did. You really get to see everything that I wished for in the original from where he goes when he's not with Bella, to see him actually hunting and his whole thought process.

Another thing I loved the most about this book was how Edward was all about consent, he says repeatedly that if Bella told him no just once he would leave Forks and we love a man who respects consent and understands the word no. I really enjoyed seeing his relationships with the other Cullen's, especially Alice, and how he interacts with them all. This book made me adore her even more and I understood Rosalie so much more too.

I had completely forgotten how Edward could read minds but not Bella's and you actually get to see what he sees, for example when he's not with Bella at school he will tune into someone else's thoughts to see her and listen into their conversations and it was so well done.

If you were a Jacob fan I have bad news for you because he is barely in the book, he has two or three appearances which are very brief.

This book was written for us Twilight fans who would read the books over and over again and would go to midnight showings of the movies. I used to fake being sick to stay home from school and read Eclipse. Team Edward, forever.
