Makeup for the Folklore Era

If you didn't already know, I am a huge Taylor Swift fan. I have been obsessed with her since Love Story, I may have dropped off for a little while around the launch of Reputation but I am more obsessed with her than ever. Today I'm sharing some makeup looks I think are fit for the Folklore era, with each era with Taylor comes a new look. Makeup Fit for the Folklore EraMakeup Fit for the Folklore EraMakeup Fit for the Folklore Era From what we have seen of Taylor online and in performances, the makeup and overall look is very laid back and natural. For makeup most of the time she keeps it very simple and minimal apart from the odd bolder lip. For the complexion, it's naturally matte with no highlight. A foundation I would recommend for this is the Fenty Beauty Hydrating Longwear, this provides a medium to full coverage and looks very natural on the skin but enhances it. For the cheeks, I would say something like the Glossier Cloud Paints would be perfect. These are incredibly natural on the cheeks and you can easily sheer them out but they will add warmth to the skin. The shade Beam would be a great pick. Another blush I think would work if you don't like cream or liquid products is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Blush in Exposed

For the brows, Glossier Boy Brow is the one. This makes the brows look fuller and fluffier while holding them in place all day and night long. This comes in tinted versions as well as Clear, I have always used the Clear option. If you are like me at need all the help you can get with brows, I think a brow powder would be the best bet for this era. For the eyes, there really isn't anything going on. I would add some of the matte shade from the Huda Beauty Matte n Metal in Bubble Bath. The mascara I think would fit this era is the Florence Built to Lash. This product gives the lashes natural length, thickness and hold.

For the lips, Rare Beauty's Lip Souffle Matte Lip Cream in Fearless would be a great option and I have been some rumours online that she was wearing this recently. I also think the Glossier Gen Gs would be great as they are on the sheer side and matte. Glossier overall is a great brand for this era if you ask me as it is all very natural yet enhancing.
