Movies To Get You in the Holiday Spirit

I always start my Christmas movie watching early and then for the first week of December I never watch any, I'm a little strange. But I am back on my Christmas content and I have four movies to share that I really love. And two are new releases but all of them will have you in the holiday spirit by the time you finish each one! Movies To Get You in the Holiday SpiritNoelle (Disney Plus)

"Kris Kringle's daughter is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun but wishes she could do something "important" like her beloved brother Nick, who will take over for their father this Christmas. Nick is training to be Santa, but is failing miserably. When Nick is about to crumble like a gingerbread cookie from all the pressure, Noelle suggests he take a break and get away to clear his head...but then he doesn't return."

I am so happy this movie is finally on Disney Plus as I watched it last year and I loved it! I am a huge Anna Kendrick fan and I really liked her in this. This is such a great one and will be one I watch every year I can already tell. If you ever wondered what I'm like from September until New Years, I am the real-life version of Noelle.

The Christmas Chronicles (Netflix Original)

"Siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce hatch a scheme to capture Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. When the plan goes awry, the kids join forces with a somewhat jolly Saint Nick and his loyal elves to save the holiday before it's too late."

This is an incredible movie that honestly came out of nowhere for me in 2018 and with part two now on the streaming service, it's the perfect time to watch it if you haven't already! Kurt Russell is such a great Santa Claus and I need more of these movies. Also, the soundtrack is fantastic and I just learnt that the man who did Frozen did this movie so now it all makes sense!

Happiest Season (Hulu/NowTV)

"A young woman with a plan to propose to her girlfriend while at her family's annual holiday party discovers her partner hasn't yet come out to her conservative parents."

I know a few people who didn't like this movie but I loved it and we need more movies like this one. I hope with how popular this one has been and with Hallmark finally making an LGBTQ Christmas movie that we get more next year. Dan Levy is hilarious in this and Kristen Stewart looks so hot so what more do you need?! I hope they make a sequel or companion movie to this, I would love a movie with more of Jane!

Christmas in Homestead (Hallmark Channel)

"An actress heads to the Christmas-obsessed town of Homestead, Iowa, to shoot a holiday-themed movie. She is shocked when a romance blooms with Matt, a single dad. As she gets a taste of small-town life, she discovers the true meaning of Christmas."

This is a Hallmark movie from a few years ago and I have watched it a few times now and it's still one of my favourites. It has such a cosy vibe to it and all of the elements to make a great Hallmark Christmas movie.
