Act Your Age, Eve Brown - Talia Hibbert | Spoiler Free Book Review

 - This post contains a Netgalley arc -

This book was everything I was anticipating it to be. Super sweet, adorable and swoony but so very steamy. I have read all three of the Brown sister’s books and every single book got five stars from me! I’m sad this is the final book from the sisters as I loved them so much but luckily for me, I know these are books I will reread. Act Your Age, Eve Brown - Talia Hibbert | Spoiler Free Book ReviewBlurb

Eve Brown is a certified hot mess. No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong - so she's given up trying. But when her personal brand of chaos ruins a wedding, her parents draw the line. It's time for Eve to grow up and prove herself - even though she's not entirely sure how...

Jacob Wayne is always in control. The uptight B&B owner expects nothing less than perfection from his employees, so when a purple-haired tornado of a woman applies for his open chef position, he tells her the brutal truth: not a chance in hell. Then she hits him with her car - supposedly by accident.

Now his arm is broken, his B&B is understaffed, and the dangerously unpredictable Eve is fluttering around, trying to help. Before long, she's infiltrated his work, his kitchen - and his spare bedroom. Sunny, chaotic Eve is his natural-born nemesis, but the longer these two enemies spend in close quarters, the more their animosity turns into something else...

My Review

Eve and Jacob are so different in many ways but so similar in others. I loved watching their relationship go from strangers and hating each other to friends and then lovers. This book has such fantastic character growth as well as great representation including both of our main characters being on the autism spectrum. I really liked how it was handed in this book and it being an underlying subject of the book and how even though they are on the spectrum, they are just like everybody else and this is so important. Eve and Jacob are the nicest characters and just little rays of sunshine to read about.

Talia writes some of the swooniest books and characters ever and this book was no different. It was also truly hilarious, I was laughing out loud throughout reading it and I basically had a smile on my face the whole time. Almost all of the books I read are romance so I do read my fair share of steamy scenes but this book had some of the steamiest scenes I have ever read, I’m talking about you pages at around 60% in the book.

I inhaled this book and read it within 24 hours even though it is around 400 pages! I couldn’t put it down even though I didn’t want it to end. This was one of my most anticipated books of 2021 and going into it I had the highest hopes for it and it did not disappoint. If you read Dani and Chloe’s books like I did, you will love the little appearances they make in Eve’s book.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown will be released on the 9th of March 2021. It's available to preorder now
