One of the first products I reviewed when I started my blog was the cult classic Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser which I posted almost a decade ago. And one product I have always loved as well as the cleanser is the Instant Boost Skin Tonic and I am so happy that the original formulation is back! The Instant Boost Skin Tonic retails for £16.50 and is a hydrating and soothing toner. This product will help to replenish skin with soothing hydrating to prep for your routine while brightening the appearance of skin. It has a gentle and non-drying formulation and is powder by aloe vera to hydrate, calendula, chamomile and cucumber to soothe and refresh as well as antioxidant Vitamin E to leave the skin looking radiant and healthy. It has been fragranced with an uplifting blend of pure essential oils including rose-scented geranium, lavender and sweet orange. I adore the Liz Earle scents and this one is no different!
There are a two ways I use this product and it is a summer must have in my skincare routines. To apply the product you twist up the cap, pour a generous amount onto a cotton wool pad and sweep across the face and neck. I like to use this after I cleanse in my morning and evening skincare routines before applying any acids and serums.
But my favourite way to use this product during the summer is throughout the way to refresh the skin! It leaves the skin feeling replenished and soothed and as I do have acne-prone combination skin, it also helps to balance the skin. It's been one of my go-to products after spending the day in the sun as it is so soothing on the skin. It does have an alcohol formulation so it isn't going to be drying or irritating on the skin.
I have tried a lot of toners and this is one of the few that I have tried that actually does have benefits for the skin. I love how comforting and soothing this is instantly on the skin, as I mentioned I do have acne prone skin and some acne treatments tend to be harsh on the skin so this is my favourite product to use in combination with those treatments.
Liz Earle is a cruelty free brand and this product is Vegan.
