Christmas Movie Recommendations 2023 (#1)

Happy 27 Days Until Christmas!!

I love sharing my Christmas movie recommendations so we are back for another year. Writing these blog posts gives me the perfect excuse to watch even more holiday movies as I can call it research!Christmas Movie Recommendations 2023Exmas (Available on Freevee)

"Graham returns home to celebrate Christmas and is surprised to discover his family already celebrating with Ali, his ex."

Leighton Meester and Robbie Amell in Christmas movie that's the second chance trope and enemies to lovers?! I knew I was going to love this and it didn't disappoint. I enjoyed it that much that the ads during the movie didn't even bother me. This is definitely going on my rewatch list as it was a lot of fun.

The Christmas Club (Available on Prime Video)

"Two busy strangers meet when they help an elderly woman find her lost Christmas savings. Thanks to fate and Christmas magic, they also find something they were both missing: true love."

This isn't new for this year but this is a rewatch and in my opinion, it is one of the best Hallmark Christmas movies! Elizabeth Mitchell, aka Mrs Claus, is captivating. I couldn't stop smiling while was watching this one and if you only watch one Hallmark movie this year, it should be this.

The Santa Clauses (Available on Disney+)

"The Calvin family is back at the North Pole, as Scott Calvin continues his role as Santa Claus after his retirement plans were thwarted when he failed to find a successor; now that Christmas has been saved, Scott focuses on training his son Cal."

Speaking of Elizabeth Mitchell! This isn't a movie, it's a TV series and the second season is about to finish airing so it's the perfect time to binge! I really enjoy this show and Tim Allen will always be my Santa Claus so I'm so happy with this reboot. It's a lot of fun and the way it's been written makes it feel like one extended movie which I love. If you haven't watched the first season, a lot of our favourite characters make cameos!

Miracle of 34th Street - 1994 (Available on Disney+)

"Susan, a child, and her mother, along with the help of a lawyer, must defend a man, Kris Kringle, from being institutionalised. In order to do so, they must prove that he is the real Santa Claus."

While I watch an insane amount of Christmas movies every year, there are quite a few classics I have seen so this was my first time watching Miracle on 34th Street. I really enjoyed it! As far as classics go, this one is very underrated!
