Getting up at 5am every morning for work just doesn't work for me, I am always in a rush or forgetting things which is why I needed an easy go to eye look. These two stunning palettes have been in my make up bag everyday since I got them and have found myself using these palettes to create so many different eye looks, from everyday simple to a dramatic evening look.
The Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Palette is one that I used 5 days out of 7. Because I get up when it is still night time for work, I needed a palette that I could create an easy everyday eye look when I am still half asleep which I have found with this palette. In the palette there is three eye shadows and a concealer. I don't use the concealer as it is the wrong shade for me but the eye shadows are where its at. There is a pink lid shade and a light brown crease colour which are both metallic. The final shade is a matte chocolate brown which is perfect for liner or as a little accent below the water line. These shadows are all very pigmented and blend so well together. I find this palette to be fool proof, I can apply this so quickly when I am basically still asleep and it looks good. These shadows are still going strong when it comes to taking off my make up.
The Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette is a new addition to my make up bag but is getting a lot of love already! This palette is made up of five matte shadows and one demi matte for highlight. My favourite shades from this palette is the darkest and the lightest. The lightest shade is the perfect highlight shade that works with any look. The darkest shade is great for a smoky eye or how I like to use it on a daily basis is under the waterline, only the outer part of the eye. All of the shadows in this palette are extremely pigmented and blend well together. I love to use frisk all over the lid, cover in the crease and undone on the bottom half of the outer lash line. This palette is perfect for travel because you can create so many different looks with it and it is so sleek that it doesn't take up too much room in your make up bag.
